When San called, his voice was low and careful.
He told Wooyoung the others were in all-night practice. That he'd faked being sick. That no one suspected a thing.
Wooyoung dropped everything.
Of course he did.
San was leaving soon, and the thought of wasting even a single moment felt unbearable.
"Come to the hotel," San said softly. "Movie night?"
Wooyoung didn't hesitate.
-
By the time he reached the hotel, his heart was beating faster than he liked to admit.
He pulled his cap lower as he crossed the lobby, mask hiding most of his face. Even so, he felt strangely exposed, like everyone around him could somehow tell exactly where he was going.
It's just a movie, he told himself.
Just hanging out.
Still, his pulse didn't slow.
When he reached room 1755, he stood there for a moment, staring at the door.
Then he knocked.
The door opened almost immediately.
San stood there.
For a second neither of them spoke.
San looked relaxed, sweatpants, a loose shirt, hair slightly messy like he'd just showered, but his eyes lit up the moment he saw Wooyoung.
"Hey," he said softly.
Wooyoung felt his nerves loosen instantly.
"Hi."
San stepped aside to let him in.
The room smelled faintly of San's cologne mixed with coffee. A suitcase sat open near the bed, clothes folded in uneven stacks like someone had been packing but lost motivation halfway through.
"Sorry," San said, glancing at it. "I've been trying to get ready for tour."
Wooyoung nodded.
"That must be exhausting," he said quietly. "Moving all the time. Different places every night."
San shrugged a little.
"You get used to it."
Then he smiled again.
"But it's nice having a quiet night."
The room fell quiet after that.
Not uncomfortable.
Just... charged.
Wooyoung leaned against the edge of the desk while San stood near the bed, neither of them quite sure where to move next.
"Did you actually pick a movie?" Wooyoung asked after a moment.
San glanced at the TV remote on the nightstand.
"...I forgot."
Wooyoung laughed softly.
"I figured."
San stepped a little closer.
Not enough to be obvious.
Just enough that the air between them changed.
And suddenly it didn't feel like movie night anymore.
San's gaze dipped, just once, to Wooyoung's mouth.
