Y/n's pov

I opened my eyes, greeted by the stark white ceiling above me. Blinking a few times, I tried to make sense of my surroundings. The smell of antiseptic filled the air, and when I slowly turned my head, I realized I was in a hospital room.

How did I end up here?

Confusion clouded my thoughts as I took in the sterile environment. My body felt weak, a dull ache lingering in my limbs. I reached up and carefully removed the oxygen mask that covered my face, my fingers trembling slightly. Just then, I heard the door open, and in walked Lisa, accompanied by a doctor.

Y/N, you’re awake!” Lisa exclaimed, rushing to my side. She threw her arms around me in a tight hug, and I, still in a daze, hugged her back weakly.

When we finally broke the embrace, I looked at her, bewildered. “How did I get here?” I asked, my voice hoarse from disuse.

Lisa’s expression softened with relief, but there was a hint of worry in her eyes. “Oh, you don’t remember?” she began. “You went to the museum alone and somehow lost consciousness in the library. Someone from the museum found you and called me. That’s how I knew something was wrong. It’s been terrifying… I’m just so glad you finally woke up.” She paused, taking a breath as though she’d been holding it in for weeks. “You’ve been in a coma for two weeks.”

Two weeks?” I repeated in shock, the weight of her words sinking in. Two whole weeks had passed?

But as the initial surprise faded, I recalled something—a fleeting memory. Two weeks? I thought to myself. But I lived in that historical period for nearly two months. Time must move slower here when i go there.

"Oh, right. Let me call your parents," Lisa said, taking out her phone.

I nodded absentmindedly, still disoriented, when her words finally registered in my mind.

"Parents? What the—?"

My heart skipped a beat. Parents? How could that be? I’m an orphan, always have been. Where did this talk of parents suddenly come from?

"Lisa, aren’t we orphans? When did I find my parents?" I asked, bewildered.

Lisa’s eyes widened in shock as she stared at me like I had just said something unbelievable. "Y/N, did you hit your head somewhere? Or is this the after-effect of the coma?" she said, her voice skeptical and worried. "Your parents found you two months ago. How could you forget that?"

Two months ago? My mind struggled to grasp what she was saying. That doesn’t make sense. When I was in the past, nothing like this happened. When did this happen? I didn’t find my parents before or after the time travel.

But before I could fully process this, the door suddenly burst open, and someone ran toward me. I felt arms wrapping around me tightly before I could even react.

"Noona, you’re awake! I’m so glad!" said a boy’s voice, filled with relief.

I quickly pulled away, blinking in confusion. As I looked at his face, my jaw dropped.

Isn’t this… Soobin’s personal assistant? What was his name again… Kai?!

"Noona, what’s wrong?" Kai asked, looking at me with concern.

"Your noona has lost half her memory, Kai," Lisa said, still in disbelief.

Lost my memory? No, that wasn’t it. I remembered everything clearly—every detail from my time in the past. But something wasn’t adding up. Wait… It’s not that I lost my memory. It’s because I changed the past… that’s why the future is different now!

Suddenly, the door opened again, and two more people walked in.

I froze in place.

"Mom? Dad?" I whispered, my voice trembling.

They walked over to me, my mother’s eyes filled with tears. "My god, thank goodness you're finally awake. We were so scared we’d lose you again," she said, pulling me into a warm, tight hug.

I hugged her back, still in shock. "No, I’m okay," I said softly, my heart racing.

This isn’t real… I thought to myself, trying to make sense of everything. But it was real, right here in front of me. My parents, standing before me after all these years.

That’s when the truth hit me hard. I hadn’t just changed the past—I had altered everything. The future, too, had shifted because of what I did. I glanced at Kai, who stood beside Lisa, looking concerned. He was my little brother now? How did that even happen?

It’s all because I changed the past. That’s why the future is so different now.

This wasn’t the future I had known before—this was something entirely new, something I had unknowingly created.

"So... I really changed my future too," I whispered, staring at my family. I had never expected things to turn out like this.

Wait, I forgot about the main thing. I need to go to the museum now—I want to know what happened after I came back here.

I quickly removed the sheet from over me and swung my legs out of bed, attempting to stand. But the moment I tried, I collapsed onto the ground.

What happened?

Y/N, don’t try to stand up! You need time to heal—you’ve been in a coma for weeks. Your lungs are still stiff from being inactive,” my mom said urgently.

I nodded, feeling the strain in my body, and Lisa quickly helped me back onto the bed.

"Then... can I go later?" I asked, the desire to visit the museum still burning inside me. I needed to know what had happened.

"You can, after you’ve healed. For now, rest, Y/N," my mom said, her voice firm yet gentle.

Y/n had no idea what was waiting for her
