"MY BABY'S ALL GROWN UP."

Eleven year old Astra Tonks stared in awe at the scarlet express train that towered above her as people bustled and pushed past her on the the magical platform.

She squirmed slightly as her mother pulled her in close for a hug, way too excited to finally get on the Hogwarts Express, the first time in five years that she wouldn't just watch her sister leave for a year.

She would be following her.

"I see Charlie, I'll be back in a second." Dora told them hurriedly before disappearing into the crowd of parents and students, her prominent purple hair appearing a second later in a group of ginger.

Astra's curious gaze followed her, a frown gracing her face as she couldn't see her best friend. "Where's Lee?"

Ted shrugged with a chuckle. "I'm sure he's here somewhere. Maybe he's just a bit later."

The little girl looked disgruntled before it switched to a grin, following her father who was heading for the open door of the train.

With his help, she shoved her trunk in a holder, still holding the cage that held her Tawny owl Dahlia, after her favourite flower. Ted smiled softly at his youngest who bit her lip before launching herself into his arms as they exited the train again, her older sister still chatting with her friends a few feet away.

"I'm scared Dad." First year Astra whispered as he knelt down to meet her eyes, a sparkle in each of his own.

"It's okay to be scared Astra. But just remember, what are you?"

"A star." She sniffed, tucking her hands into her skirt pockets.

"And what do Stars do?"

"..burn brightly." Astra stood up a little straighter, a small smile on her face as her father tucked the spare piece of hair that had escaped from her ponytail behind her ear.

"That's right. And don't you forget that. Now I know you'll make me and your mother proud, ain't that right Andy?"

Andromeda Tonks had come further now and nodded, hugging her youngest daughter back.

"Don't forget, we love you and we're only a owl away if you really hate it. But I doubt that. Besides, whatever house you're in you'll always have Lee right?"

Astra nodded in response, looking round quickly to see if she could spot the dreadlocked boy who she had known her whole life.

"Now, lets get you on the train."

Astra sported a confident grin, holding onto her small handbag and Dahlia's cage, before Ted helped her up the rather large steps. She found a nearby compartment and gasped dramatically as she recognised the rather familiar face.
