14. Mischievous Antics

Setting A sunny afternoon in Yunmeng, where children are playing near a muddy field.

Lan Wangji has now spent a week living in Yunmeng and has made friends with children much younger than him.

Lan Wangji, looking like a charming 18 years old, has made some new friends, Jiang Pin, Jiang Chong, Jiang Qiao, and Jiang Minqin.

They are all having fun, but Lan Wangji is always up to some mischief so he is grinning, "Hey, everyone. Let’s make the biggest mud pie ever."

Jiang Pin is excitedly exclaimed, "Yes, that sounds awesome."

Jiang Chong is nervously replying, "But what if we get in trouble?"

Lan Wangji is winking, "Trouble is just part of the fun."

The children eagerly gather mud, laughing and splashing around then soon, the ground is a big, gooey mess.

Lan Wangji suddenly gets an idea so he is with a mischievous smile, "How about we play a game? Let’s see who can get the most mud on each other."

Jiang Qiao is giggling, "That sounds messy. Count me in."

Jiang Minqin is laughing, "Me too. But Lan Wangji, you better not splash me too hard."

Without warning, Lan Wangji jumps into the air and splatters mud all over his friends.

Jiang Chong is squealing, "Hey, that’s not fair."

Jiang Pin is laughing while wiping mud off his face, "You’re gonna pay for this, Lan Wangji."

The children, now covered in mud, start plotting their revenge so Jiang Qiao is whispering, "Let’s get him back with something really stinky."

Jiang Minqin is eyes sparkling, "Like rotten eggs and cow dung (गोबर)."

The plan is set then the kids find some smelly things nearby and gather their ammunition.

Lan Wangji is noticing the kids whispering, "What are you all planning? You look too sneaky."

Jiang Chong is trying to act innocent, "Oh, nothing. Just enjoying the fresh air."

But Lan Wangji knows they are up to something so he prepares himself for the incoming attack.

Suddenly, all the kids launch their stinky projectiles at him then Jiang Pin is laughing, "Take that, Lan Wangji."

Jiang Qiao is giggling, "Now you smell worse than a goat."

Lan Wangji is now covered in a mix of mud, rotten eggs, and cow dung even he looks down at his messy self and can’t help but chuckle.

Lan Wangji is with a mock serious face, "Wow, this is quite the upgrade. But I think I need to teach you all a lesson."

The kids look at him, a mix of fear and excitement in their eyes so Jiang Minqin is whispering, "What is he going to do?"

Jiang Chong is shrugging, "I don’t know, but I’m a little scared."

Lan Wangji suddenly raises his hands, and a gentle breeze starts to swirl around him and the children gasp.

Lan Wangji scared them, "Since you wanted to play with stinky things, let’s make it a real game."

With a wave of his hand, Lan Wangji casts a harmless spell then suddenly, all the kids find themselves feeling very ticklish.
