Chapter 7

6 Months later:

' Harder Maddie! Push harder! You can do it.' Evan encouraged me from across the field. I have been training and pushing harder than ever to get fit and gain muscle. I have ran more than I have ever before and now I can run six miles without stopping. I can lift weights and have finally got some definition in my arms legs and body. My abs  have become more toned and Dane has been feeding me non-stop so that I put on weight and consume enough calories to keep up with my training program. For the first time in my life I look healthy. My hair has gotten its shine back and has grown. My eyes have started to Sparkle again and from where I have been training, my skin has become lush and tanned.

I push myself to the six mile Mark, sweat dripping down my face and this is my warm-up, Evan is pushing me hard today. After my run I do my Weights Workout. Evan has been slowly adding more weight to my work out helping me gain muscle. Next was sit-ups press ups and burpies, to help with my core muscles. Once we had finished we walked five laps of the training field as a cool down.

We finished up and I headed to shower before fight training this afternoon with Dain. I have got a lot better at fighting, I can hold my own now. Since I have been having my private lessons with Dain, I have improved drastically. As I walk down from my bedroom into the kitchen to make myself a sandwich I walk past Dain's office. The door was open, and I popped my head around the corner to see Dain sitting at his desk doing paperwork.

' Hey Dain,? I'm going to make some lunch do you want some?' I asked, our relationship over the last six months has improved, he is like my best friend. We laugh and joke and he has supported me since I've been here. Along with Evan, Amanda and Lily they have all been there to help and support me.

' Hi Mads, i'm ok thank you, i'm just buried in paperwork at the moment. I didn't realise the time, I have been so distracted. I will take lunch as long as it isn't any of that healthy crap Amanda, has got Lily eating lately. I meant.' he looked up and smiled at me.

I finally feel that I fit in, the pack has become my family. They have accepted me and have helped me work on myself to become stronger both physically and mentally. I love it here, I have  finally found a home. I smile back at Dain and nodded. I headed down to the kitchen and instead of making a sandwich like I had originally planned, I decided to make steak with roast potatoes and carrots, with a small side salad and a bread roll. Once it was ready I grabbed the plates and headed back to Dain's office. Today was to be a working lunch, I dropped his food in front of him and sat down on the sofa in the corner and began to eat.

' Thanks Mads, you're the best! Are you ready for fight training? I won't be there today, I have so much paperwork to catch up on, Evan said he would train you and Lily today.' I put my knife and fork down I raised my eyes and stared at him.

' you're not training me today?' I questioned, disapointment in my tone. 

' Nope, if you don't want to train with Evan, you can skip training and you need a shopping trip anyway. I'm sure you need to get some more training  gear clothes and whatever else you ladies need.'

' Shopping does sound good, there are a few things I need to get.' Dain pulls out his wallet and gives me his credit card.

' Spend as much as you want, there is no cap on the card. Also take the car from the garage. Why don't you take Lily with you she is spending far too much time with Amanda and this healthy eating crap she is doing. Get the girl a burger already!' he rambles, I smile chuckling at the rant about his sister. He pulls it a set of keys out of his pocket and launches them across the room, I watch them fly across the space and they land on the cushion next to me on the sofa, bouncing on Impact.

' What do you take me for? I already thought of that I got your back Dain, don't worry. There will be no healthy eating on this trip!' I replied laughing as I carried on eating my steak. Once I had finished eating my lunch, I grabbed the plate in front of Dain and took it back down to the kitchen. I put both plates in the dishwasher and headed upstairs to find Lily.
