She did not know what it was for, but she sensed how complicated the seal was. It was probably on the same rank as the rest of the items the Fox had.

It seemed oddly cruel of a thing to do to an intelligent creature.

But Ying couldn't assume too much, perhaps there was a reasoning to this she couldn't understand.

Few minutes pass.

Mei was busy with the spices and stirring.

Assuring this time it didn't get burnt.

She boiled water from the nearby stream of water. She added a few herbal leafs she bought from the market for only 5 points.

She was down to 110 p.

She added a small amount salt from her salt crystal and left the water to heat up for a bit while she prepared to salt and spice up the rabbit meat.

She didn't have much to work with.

Just salt, paprika powder and black pepper she had bought from the store a few days ago.

It was very simple, a farcry of what Mei usually ate in her estate.

It tasted awful, in comparison.

But she didn't want to make it taste completely bland either. Now that would be actual torture.

And she definitely couldn't offend the heroine.

The egg timer went off again, Ying looked a bit surprised but it wore off soon.

The water was boiling now.

She was going to put the whole batch of meat into the boiling water to try to make it into soup.

She wasn't the best at cooking. But she could at least try to do something she's seen on TV before.

After a few minutes of light simmering heating and checking, Mei felt the meat seemed cooked enough.

It at least looked like it?

Mei began to hold a clay pot via her mouth and used it to pour a bit of the soup in it.

She began to dig into the light brown looking water and cooked meat and ate.

Of course it tasted horrible. She wanted to vomit.

But doing that in front of the Heroine might piss her off.

So she tried with all her strength, to swallow it without tasting it.

It had at least been cooked.

So it was safe? To feed to the heroine.

She scooped up another bowl of soup? For the Heroine handing it to her.

Ying was watching her intently this entire time.

She must be hungry, Mei thought.

She motioned for Ying to eat with just a nod.

Mei then internally face palm

Mei just remembered she didn't give Ying any utensils to use, she felt so stupid.

She wasn't an animal like her, she was a human being.

She then noticed Ying pull out a pair of wooden chopsticks.

Oh thank goodness, Mei thought.

She was probably going to have to make her proper utensils later on.

Ying drank a little bit of the soup, and looked shocked.
