After having some tea with Chiyen, both Mei and Ling stood out onto the small sandy courtyard behind the Orphanage.
Chiyen had already given Mei permission to use it as a training ground, so Mei did not worry."Today you will be staying with the basics... but first I must ask. What is your cultivation level? I never actually asked."
"I am at the peak of Qi Foundation. With a single Fire spirit root"
Mei was impressed, usually at this age cultivators would not reach that, or at least that's what was said in the book.
"Your cultivation must be very good then."
"I am from a rather special family and because of it, my bloodline may help some of my cultivation to be much more faster than others. But I will not let it get into my head."
Was she really just going to reveal that information that quickly? Mei thought.
At least she didn't outright name them.
But that was more putting a bandaid on a wound rather than stitches."Don't reveal information like that so quickly."
Mei put her hand in a chopping motion and hit the top of Ling Lan's head even though she was taller.
"It can put you into some trouble with people."
"I know that, but I thought Master might need that information."
Mei sighed. Mei was some random person, she definitely fit the specifics of people Ling Lan should not trust Blindly.
"Even then, people could be listening to us. So in the future, just don't mention it too lightly got it?"
Ling Lan, immediately bowed. This master seemed awfully kind despite being so forward.
She was taught to see the intentions and actions of people much rather than their words. To her, It was the best way to see a person's soul."Understood!'
After that lecture, the "training"? Finally began.
Mei decided to create a makeshift waterfall.
Taking several buckets of cold water from the nearest stream and dumping it directly behind Ling Lan in a slow constant drop.
All the while Mei stood atop a small log for height.
Mei had read books of Cultivation where cultivators train in environments that best suited whatever techniques and spiritual roots they possessed.
Things such as training/meditating in or near volcanos, in an icy cold cave, a thunderous tempest storm, in the middle of the woods, or even a deep mine of the earth itself.
It was whatever that worked for training.
Although it wasn't the only way to cultivate, it was the most normal way other than using items.
Other ways to do cultivation or to train special techniques were usually a well hidden trade or family secret.
For now, Mei attempts something she had seen before. Though she was too sure who well it would work.
Either way, it was a good method to waste time.
She had to deal with something like this in her past life.
Although with more slow dripping water on her face instead.
But she had managed just fine even without Qi or a strong body. So Ling Lan should be fine with it as well.
"You just need to keep trying to reflect the faint amount of Qi I am adding to cold water."
Mei was pretending to add a small bit of Qi into it by focusing her mind into it, although she didn't really know how Qi really worked so she just pretended. All she really did was just make this special bucket with her hands to throw over Ling Lan, there shouldn't be too much of an issue.
