Jaiden Pendragon stood in front of Nomura. After he had fought the prisoners, he had suddenly been rushed and surrounded by the Coalition's best fighters. Nomura looked at the young boy, his eyes filled with fear.

'Alright, out with it! What power do you have? What is it that you can do? Answer, now!'

Jaiden's eyebrows raised.

'Why are you so scared? I thought I reminded you of yourself. Surely that means that I'm trustworthy.'

'How did you- oh, Afterthought. Damn, I forgot. So, is that one of your powers?'

'In a way, yes.'

Jaiden spread his arms wide.

'My power has no name, not yet anyway. As far as I'm aware, no one but me knows it exists. That's often how it is with Duopowers. No one knows they exist until someone appears with an unknown ability-'

'A Duopower?'

A woman beside Nomura stirred. Jaiden didn't know her name.

'Even if it doesn't have a name, you clearly know what it does. So tell me, what is it that you can do?'

Jaiden chuckled.

'Oh not much. Just a simple transaction. A little back and forth. A bargain.'

'Stop delaying!' Nomura snapped.

'Okay, okay. No need to freak out. I was gonna tell you anyway. Jeez. Well, my power is simple. I can steal the Magicae Power, Subpower or Duopower of anyone I touch. Permanently.'

'Jesus Christ,' a man gasped.

'That's even worse than Pendragon's power. This isn't good.'

Jaiden smiled. It wasn't a creepy smirk, nor a sinister grin. It was a kind smile, a warm, friendly smile.

'Don't worry everyone. You see, I never replied to your recruitment offer. Well, please, allow me to respond now. I would be honoured to join the Magicae Revolution Coalition. A noble organisation that aims to protect innocent Magicae from harm by the three major organisations, the organisations who tore my family apart. Please, allow me to be a part of this group. I promise that I will do everything in my power to make this aim a reality.'

Nathan Pendragon finished returning the moon's surface to its natural state. After much congratulation and celebration, the group had disbanded. They had all gone home, leaving Nathan to clean up. Well, almost all of them had gone home. As always, Aurora Morticaya was sticking to him like glue. She had stayed and watched his actions until he had removed the dome-like artificial atmosphere, which forced her to retreat through the portal. And after waiting for him to also return through the portal, she continued to follow him like a lonely puppy. After a short debate, he had agreed to escort her home. One quick teleportation later, and they arrived at the edge of the Morticaya property.

'Thanks Nathan. As much as I trust my own capabilities, in the current situation, well y'know.'

Nathan understood what she meant. He was one of the few people who knew about her anxious, paranoid side. It was part of what had driven her to become so strong. But with the disclosure of the existence of Magicae, magical criminals had become more brazen. Aurora, as the youngest and (supposedly) weakest of the notorious Morticaya sisters, was often targeted. She could handle all Vanguard Class Magicae and many Hero Class Magicae, but she specialised in strategic one on one fights. But that meant that she could be overpowered by groups of Magicae. And considering that the proposal dinner had taken place in Victoria, pretty much the opposite side of Australia, it's not like she could make her way back on her own anyway. Nathan was about to leave when he noticed something.
