Naomi Uzumaki stirred slowly, her eyes fluttering open to a damp, dimly lit cell. The walls were comprised of rough stone, cold and unforgiving, a heavy iron door barred her exit.
Her heart raced as she took in her surroundings as she could feel that her chakra was low meaning that she couldn't escape right now.
As Naomi senses adjusted, she noticed she was not alone. A few feet from her, five young faces peered back with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
Who are you?" Naomi demanded, her voice steady despite the turmoil swirling inside her.
The group exchanged glances before a red-haired girl stepped forward with resolve. "I'm Erza, this is Jellal, Millianna, Shô, and Wally. And you... you're Onee-san!"
Naomi blinked, taken aback. "Onee-san? Why are you calling me that?"
We're all orphans and we don't really have family," Millianna chimed in, her bright eyes shimmering with a hint of sadness. "You look older than us, so it feels right to call you that."
Naomi took a moment to absorb their words. She was eighteen and the oldest among these children—but the title 'Onee-san' felt like an anchor in a rising tide of despair. A small part of her didn't mind, and she allowed a soft sigh to escape. "You can call me Onee-san if you want," she conceded. "But can you tell me where we are?"
A old man named Rob came forward and said "We're in the Tower of Heaven. It's a place where they keep people like us... as slaves. They take us and make us work for them. It's terrible here."
Anger boiled within Naomi as she listened, her fists clenching at her sides. "Slaves?!" She echoed, rage igniting her spirit. "How could they do this?"
Jellal, the boy with blue hair, pointed to the cell bars with a pained expression. "We tried escaping before, but we didn't make it far. They're stronger than they look.
To hell with that," Naomi said fiercely, standing tall. An unyielding determination surged within her. "Tomorrow, When I regain my powers back. I promise you, we will break out of this tower. No one deserves this kind of imprisonment. You're all coming with me."
Wally's eyes widened with hope, though uncertainty flickered behind them. "But how? We've tried everything!"
Naomi knelt down, meeting their hopeful gazes with intensity. "I don't know how exactly yet, but I've faced powerful enemies before. I won't leave you in this hell. We will find a way."
The children nodded, their faces lighting up with a newfound aspiration. The air felt different now, charged with promise. They were bound together by their shared plight—by chains of fate that they would break.
We'll help you, Onee-san!" Millianna said, her voice bubbling with excitement.
Together," Shô added, summing up the spirit of their newfound alliance.
As she prepared for the trials ahead, Naomi understood that she wasn't just fighting for her freedom. She was standing up for those who felt powerless, igniting a spark in their hearts that had been long extinguished. And in that moment, her resolve crystallized—freedom was worth fighting for, and she would not stop until every last one of them was out of this wretched place.
For now, she could only wait until dawn broke. But she would not waste a moment. The Tower of Heaven would tremble at the resurgence of her power, and the shackles that bound them would be shattered by her will.
