DRITI:

I slept, caring less about the consequences of my behavior, the weight of the day finally catching up with me.

The turmoil in my mind quieted as exhaustion wrapped around me like a heavy blanket, soothing the edges of my anger and confusion.

In the dim light of the room, the world outside faded away, and I surrendered to the comfort of sleep.

The kiss on my forehead lingered in my thoughts, a warm ember that resisted the darkness of my dreams.

For once, I didn't worry about the secrets Vyaan kept, the games he played, or the danger looming over us.

As my eyelids grew heavy, I drifted into a restless slumber, my subconscious teetering on the edge of dreams filled with shadows and whispers.

But through it all, a part of me felt safe, cocooned in the knowledge that I was no longer alone in this tangled mess.

And as the night wore on, the consequences of my defiance and the tumultuous feelings I harbored for him faded into the background, leaving only a sense of peace, however fleeting it might be.

For now, I would let myself be vulnerable, let the exhaustion wash over me and carry me away from the chaos that awaited in the morning.

────

When morning light filtered through the curtains, soft and inviting, I stirred awake, the remnants of sleep still clinging to me like a comforting haze.

As I blinked against the sunlight, reality crashed back, and with it, the memories of yesterday came flooding in-Vyaan's kiss, the tension in the air, the secrets hanging over us like a dark cloud.

I sat up slowly, the warmth of the bed contrasting sharply with the whirlwind of emotions roiling inside me.

The room felt too quiet, too still, and I couldn't shake the feeling that something significant was about to unfold.

Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I swung my legs over the side of the bed and took a moment to gather my thoughts.

I needed to confront Vyaan about everything, to demand the answers I had let slide the night before. There was no way I could let him dictate the terms of our situation any longer.

After a quick shower and a change into comfortable clothes, I felt a bit more like myself, ready to tackle whatever awaited me.

I stepped out of the room, my heart pounding with determination, ready to face the man who seemed to hold all the cards in this twisted game.
