Vyaan:
Selfish? Call me whatever you want-I couldn't care less. Because right now, I've got one job: saving the woman sleeping next to me, peaceful, oblivious to the storm brewing in my head.
My arm rests heavy around her waist, a silent promise of protection, even if she doesn't know it. She has no idea how much I'm fighting the urge to cross lines I shouldn't. Hell, she makes it impossible to stay sane.
I might not remember everything about my past, but I know one thing for sure-Driti was mine. She is mine. Always has been. Not even that damned accident could erase that.
People say fate is everything, that destiny plays the cards. I used to laugh at that. Now? Now, I know better. Because if Driti wasn't written in my stars, she wouldn't be here, in my arms, after sixteen years of silence. Doesn't she realize? Doesn't she see it?
But then there's her... and her questions. She woke up from the nightmare I know she keeps buried. Asked me about our past, as if I'd just give her the truth. As if I'd unravel everything for her when I'm still waiting, watching, needing to know one thing.
Does she remember me? Does she remember her childhood best friend, the one I used to be?
Because if she doesn't... well, then maybe she isn't ready to know just how twisted fate can be.
I brought her to the estate, hoping to give her a small surprise, something simple. But, thanks to Rishi, I had to cut it short and return. Of course, he had to pull something, didn't he? Always manages to ruin things at the worst possible moments.
I wanted to spend more time with her, just the two of us, away from everything. But damn it, nothing ever goes as planned. Just when I thought I had a moment, something had to get in the way.
I'm leaving for Mumbai again. Morning. But no one ever knows when I slip away, not even my shadows. I just disappear, like I always do.
This time, though, Rishi has some good news. The maid-turns out, she's more than a maid. She's a spy. But for who? That's the question, isn't it?
Rishi mentioned something about Uncle's death, but I know there's more to it. Something smells off. Nothing's ever a coincidence, not in this world.
And then, there's that message. A message from the unknown number: "I'll take my little butterfly, you wait and watch."
Does that f**ker even know who he's messing with?
Touching her would be the last wish anyone ever makes. Because once they try, they'll realize it's the last thing they'll ever do.
