Jungkook's POV

After the press conference, my apartment was a whirlwind of chaos. Fans and reporters flooded the area, creating a scene that was both exhilarating and overwhelming. The sound of excited voices mixed with a few angry shouts, echoing through the halls. I felt a mix of gratitude and guilt. Our fans had supported us through everything, yet I couldn’t shake the feeling that some were hurt by our choices.

"We can’t even move an inch," I said, glancing at the other members who were equally stuck in the madness. "What do we do now?"

"Let’s just stay here for now," Jin suggested, looking out the window at the crowd. "We need to let things settle down."

I nodded, but inside, I felt the weight of their emotions pressing on me. I knew that some fans felt betrayed, and it hurt to see them unhappy. We were human too, after all. We deserve to love and be loved.

“Jungkook!” a voice called from the back. It was Jimin trying to lighten the mood. “Why don’t we play some games? It’ll distract us!”

I chuckled, appreciating his effort. “Sure, but only if we can order food afterwards. I’m starving!”

As laughter filled the room, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. Still, my mind drifted to YN. I wondered how she was handling everything, especially since I hadn’t revealed her identity yet. I wanted to protect her, but at what cost?

YN's POV

I returned to Seoul with a mixture of excitement and anxiety. My heart raced at the thought of surprising Jungkook, but the uncertainty lingered. I drove to his villa, only to find it empty. I felt a knot tighten in my stomach.

I dialled his number, my fingers trembling. “Hey, where are you?” I asked when he picked up.

“I’m at my apartment with the members,” he replied, the sounds of chaos spilling through the phone. “There are people outside; it’s insane.”

“Oh no,” I murmured, feeling a wave of concern for him. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah, just a bit hectic,” he said, trying to sound nonchalant. “I’m really happy you’re back, but we should probably wait until things calm down a bit. I can’t come over right now.”

“Okay,” I replied, trying to mask my disappointment. “Just be safe. I’ll be waiting for you.”

The next day, I started rearranging my home, bringing back memories of the last four years. I was deep in thought when my phone rang again.

“It’s me,” Jungkook said, his voice laced with frustration. “I can’t come today either. I think it’s going to take a bit longer to settle down.”

“Alright,” I said, nodding even though he couldn’t see me. “Just be careful.”

After hanging up, I felt a mix of sadness and longing. He was doing everything he could, and I admired him for that, but I wished things were different.

Days turned into a week, and the buzz around his revelation started to fade. The hate was still there, but true ARMYs rallied around him, shielding him from negativity. The day I had long awaited finally arrived, but fate had other plans.

“Surprise!” My mom exclaimed as she walked through the door, breaking me from my thoughts.

“Mom! What a surprise!” I hugged her tightly, feeling warmth spread through me.

“I heard you were back in Seoul,” she said by watching Taehyung’s photos all over the wall ,laughing. “Still a BTS fan, huh?”

I nodded sheepishly, a smile on my face. As we settled into the living room, I couldn’t shake the feeling that Jungkook wouldn’t be able to come today either. I quickly texted him. My mom’s here, don’t come today.
