Author's POVJungkook went back to Busan to heal under his parents' care, and I was in Seoul, working and living my life alone, just like I had for six years. My life had returned to its usual simplicity, but now it was overshadowed by gossip surrounding my identity.
One day, I approached Mrs. Choi. "I need a week off," I said, hoping for a break.
"I'm sorry, YN," she replied, shaking her head. "I can only give you two days at most. Our head surgeons are on vacation."
With a sulking face, I left the hospital and returned home, where my mom was waiting for me. "Mom, I'm going to Busan. I need to see Jungkook. I got two days off."
"That's great! Let me help you pack some things," she said, breaking the silence. Then, hesitantly, she added, "Oh honey, I'm going back to Canada tomorrow morning. I didn't find the right time to tell you since you were really busy."
I hugged her tightly, feeling guilty. "Mom, I'm sorry for all these troubles. Jungkook is really a good person, but we never expected to go through hell like this. Can't idols have a normal life? Why is his life so hard? I wonder how he managed on his own before without family around."
My mom patted my head gently. "I know, honey. Don't worry. You both are safe, and everything will fall back into place again." We continued our chores, and later that night, I rushed to Busan to Jungkook's home.
Next Morning - Jungkook's POV
"Mom! Mom!" I shouted as I rushed into the house. My mom ran to me, concern etched on her face. "What happened?"
"My head hurts! I saw those dreams again. Where are my tablets?" I asked, feeling anxious.
She pointed upstairs. "They're in my room's cabinet. But first, go to the guest room and wake your guest."
"Guest? Who? Did BTS come to see me?" I asked, excitement bubbling up as I dashed to the guest room.
I opened the door to find a figure sleeping under the sheets. My heart raced. It was YN. What was she doing here? Did she come again to make me remember her? Sighing, I leaned closer, unable to shake the urge to kiss her. Suddenly, she turned in her sleep, and I smiled, knowing she must have been exhausted.
"Mom, she's sleeping like a rock. I couldn't wake her. Is she made of stone?" I mumbled, retreating to my room.
Later that night, I waited for her to come and disturb me, hoping she would try to make me remember her. But she didn't. I stepped out of my room and asked my mom where she was.
"Oh, she went out in the afternoon. She'll be back later. By the way, son, we have a family function at your aunt's home. If she comes back, tell her to have dinner. She might feel awkward eating alone."
As my mom left the kitchen, I grabbed some whiskey and beer, retreating to my room. I drank while reading news articles about Jimin's relationship, trying to distract myself from my own confusion.
Hours later, I heard footsteps. Remembering my mom's words, I went to find her. I was conscious, though a little tipsy, when I saw her soaked from the rain in front of her room. Stupid thoughts raced through my mind, and I blurted out, "Mom said dinner is in the kitchen. Bye!" I bolted back to my room, slapping myself for my immaturity.
YN'S POV
What was that? Was he this immature? Was he only being mature with me? I scoffed, drying myself off and changing into casual clothes before heading to the kitchen to eat. After dinner, I saw Jungkook coming out of his room, his face flushed as he tossed beer bottles into the sink.
"Jagiya, what happened? Why did-"
Before I could finish, he pulled me close and kissed me deeply. In an instant, he carried me to his room and locked the door behind us. Our hands intertwined, and before I knew it, we were both naked. He caressed my neck and hips, kissing every part of my body.
"Is our honeymoon complete finally ?" I thought to myself as I gazed at him, lost in the moment. But then reality hit. He had done this without even remembering me. Annoyed, I playfully hit his head, trying to leave, but he pulled me closer again.
"Babe, don't leave me, please," he mumbled, still half-asleep.
Next Morning - YN's POV
I woke up next to him, and he was sitting in the corner of the bed, fully dressed while I was completely naked. "Good morning, Jungkookahhh," I said cheerfully.
He turned to me, suddenly kneeling. "I'm sorry. I made a mistake. I was drunk last night. I'm so sorry."
Hearing that shattered my heart. Anger boiled inside me as I quickly put on my clothes and stormed out of his room. He remained kneeling, staring at the ground, remorse etched on his face.
"Mom, I'm really sorry. I got an urgent call from the hospital. I need to hurry," I said to his mom as I left. I jumped into my car, tears streaming down my face. I spent the entire day alone, crying because he had shattered my happiness by labeling it a silly mistake. I understood his memory was lost, but deep down, he knew I was his wife.
