The front door swung open, revealing Hina's small, tidy home. All Might stepped inside, his gaze sweeping across the familiar space. He was met with a sight that made his eyebrows rise in surprise. There, seated on the couch, was Ally, the Water Hero, her usual bright smile replaced with a look of quiet concern.
"Ally?" All Might questioned, his voice laced with confusion. "What are you doing here?"
Ally, sensing his surprise, offered a gentle smile. "Please, call me Ava," she said, her voice soft yet firm. "I'm off duty now."
A beat of silence hung in the air before Ava continued, her gaze softening as she explained. "Ever since I met Hina, I've kept a close eye on her. When she said no one was listed as her guardian, I took on that role, unofficially, of course." Ava's voice held a hint of wistfulness, a testament to the deep affection she held for the young girl. "When I saw the notice from U.A., I immediately went back to Hina. I couldn't leave her alone, especially after what happened."
All Might, his eyes widening in surprise, was taken aback by the depth of their connection. "I... I would have never guessed," he'd stammer, his voice filled with awe. "You've been so dedicated to her, Ava. You're a true hero, even off duty."
The conversation shifted to the pressing matter at hand: Hina's safety at U.A. All Might, ever the cautious mentor, expressed his concerns about her living in the dorms with the other students. "It's important to ensure her safety," he said, his voice firm but laced with concern. "We need to make sure she's protected."
Ava, understanding his worries, nodded in agreement. "I agree, All Might," she said. "Hina's safety is paramount. But I also believe she needs the experience of living with her classmates. She wants to be a part of the U.A. community, and I think it's important to let her experience that."
Hina, who had been listening quietly, piped up, her voice filled with determination. "I want to live in the dorms, All Might. I'm ready to face the challenges."
All Might, touched by her resolve, gave a reassuring nod. "Very well, Hina," he said. "We'll make sure you're safe and supported."
Later, after All Might had left, Ava turned to Hina, her eyes filled with warmth. "Be careful, Hina," she advised. "And be patient. It takes time to learn to control your new power."
Hina, however, simply smiled. "I've learned a lot already, Ava," she said confidently. "My anger is under control."
Ava, impressed by Hina's resilience, chuckled. "You're right, Hina," she said. "You've come a long way. Just remember to keep practicing, to use your magic bit by bit, and to never give up on your dreams."
As Hina left for U.A., Ava watched her go, a sense of pride filling her heart. She knew Hina had a bright future ahead of her, a future filled with challenges and triumphs, and she would be there, always, to support her every step of the way.
Time Skip
Hina settled into her new dorm room, the familiar scent of home filling the air. She laid down on her bed, the soft mattress cradling her weary body. As sleep began to claim her, a knock at the door startled her. She sat up, rubbing her eyes, and opened the door to find a throng of her classmates standing outside.
"Hey, Hina!" Mina chirped, her voice full of excitement. "We were just wondering if you were settled in."
"What's up?" Hina asked, her voice laced with drowsiness. "You guys are all here... what's going on?"
"We're having a competition," Denki explained, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Best dorm room!"
"Wait, you guys already started?" Hina exclaimed, her eyes widening. "You didn't even call me!"
"We figured you'd be busy unpacking," Tenya said, his voice laced with concern. "But we're ready to see your room!"
Hina sighed, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "Alright, alright, come on in."
The students filed into her room, their eyes widening in awe as they took in the unfamiliar items on her desk. Mina spotted the miniature model of Happy with his wings.
"What's that?" she asked, her voice full of curiosity. "It's so cute!"
"That's an Exceed," Hina explained, a fond smile gracing her lips. "His name is Happy. He's the little pet Fairy Tail took care of."
Denki's eyes widened as he noticed Hina's golden keys. "Wow, those are amazing!" he exclaimed, reaching out to touch them. "They're so cool!"
"Please put those down," Hina said, her voice gentle but firm.
Tenya, got curious, couldn't resist trying on the glasses place on her desk (these are the magic glasses that allow user to read books quick). He gasped as he saw the words on the page blur into a jumbled mess, then suddenly become clear as he focused.
"Incredible!" he exclaimed, his eyes wide with wonder. "I can read so much faster!"
Hina gently removed the glasses from Tenya's face and placed them back on her desk. "Those are for reading, not for showing off," she said with a playful wink.
As she turned back to her classmates, they were already gathered around a picture book, their laughter filling the room. They were looking at a photo of Natsu and Gray, both with ridiculous expressions, forced to pose with Erza and the others.
"Who are these people?" Mina asked, her voice full of curiosity.
"They're from Fairy Tail," Hina replied, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Kirishima, ever the eager one, flipped the page, revealing a photo of Hina wearing a bunny costume with Erza. Hina's face flushed crimson as she realized what he was looking at.
"Okay, that's enough!" she exclaimed, snatching the picture book from their hands. "Room tour's over!"
She pushed her classmates out of her room, her cheeks still burning with embarrassment. Kirishima, bewildered by the sudden change in mood, glanced back at the photo he'd just seen. It was a blurry mess, but he could still make out the bunny costume and familiar face of a girl he doesn't think he knew. He wondered what he'd just glimpsed, but Hina had taken the book away just in time.
