The house is silent. Everyone slept in today except for me. I stare down into the coffee mug at the pale beige liquid. I put too much creamer, and it made it overly sweet but I'm not one to waste my drink. The front door opens and talking fills the entryway. Uraraka's overly bubbly voice fills the home. I guess not everyone slept in.
I sigh softly to myself. Things have been so tense since she arrived. Everyone seems like they're on edge. No one wants to say the wrong thing around her and invoke her wrath and that goes for me too. I judge the distance from the kitchen island to the back door. How quickly could I escape and not have to deal with them.
"Will you make me breakfast, Katsuki?" She asks sweetly.
"I'm making everyone breakfast," Bakugou laments as his footsteps get closer to the kitchen. I curse quietly as I stand with my cup and start heading for the back door.
"Come shower with me first," she wines, and I gag silently.
"I should really get breakfast started," he says as he stops right outside the kitchen. I freeze. I'm stuck here.
"Come on Kats. Please. No one is even up right now anyways." He steps away and I sigh as quietly as I can. Slowly I creep towards the door.
"Fine let me grab a water first," he says, and I back up a few steps.
"I'll go get it for you!"
"Fine," he says as he moves towards the stairs. I quickly slip into the dining room as I listen to the stair's creek.
"Oh. You're here," Ochako says, and I freeze in my spot. So close.
"Morning," I mutter.
"Hope we didn't keep you up last night. You know how Kats can be. Oh wait. No, you don't," she laughs coldly, "because he didn't want your skank ass."
"Excuse me?" I ask and turn to face her. I place my coffee cup on the table next to me and she flashes me a fake smile, water bottle now abandoned on the counter.
"He didn't want you. Especially after he saw what a hero hopping slut you are. I mean, it was only a few days after I got here, and you were already in another man's arms. How shameful. I bet your parents are so proud of you."
"I don't want your man. Whatever you think you saw or didn't, I don't want him. Bakugou and I were only cooking together. And Hanta and I are just friends. A concept you seem to be oblivious to."
"Look girlie," she starts taking two large steps towards me, "all I'm saying is stay away from what isn't yours. I'd hate for things to get messy."
"Are you... threatening me?"
She shrugs with a smile, "Take it how you will. As long as the message gets across."
"Thats enough," Bakugou's voice slices through our conversation, "Ochako, apologize."
"What? Why should I have to apologize? She started it! Kats she was being so mean to me before you got here! Ever since I arrived, she's been cold and rude and don't even get me started on all the things she's said about you. It's disgusting."
I laugh as I run my tongue over my teeth. This bitch just keeps on yapping. The commotion has caused footsteps upstairs.
"Ochako. I. Said. Apologize." every one of Bakugou's words is sharp and demanding.
"I'm sorry," she shouts at me and then turns to Bakugou, "happy?"
"No." he says as he crosses his arms, "now try to say it like you fucking mean it."
