It's crazy. This whole situation I was put in. Rumi said it was to meet Endeavor. Did she lie? Where's my phone?
It was no surprise that a week later after Dabi had taken care of Hawks, he would be awake. The mending towards his wounds weren't the best but he wasn't complaining. A low grunt exited as Hawks slide off the edge of the bed slightly holding his wound and looking around the room. No one else seemed to be in besides himself, but taking his chance to stretch his wings and report them was too risky. Laying low and looking around the other half of the room again. A table that had a large and probably stolen t.v. Next to it was a small vase filled with water and flowers, and right next to that was his phone. Without a second of time being wasted, he swiftly unlocked it, finding very little battery but enough to get him through the day. He went to the contacts and turned his notifications back on. Filled with messages and links about the news, yada yada. Rumi was spamming his phone so naturally he went and checked the messages. A full paragraph, short messages, panicked messages, etc.., Rumi must've been worried about him. Checking the date and seeing how he had been away for around a full week and more, his stomach was rumbling. Toga did stab him at his side of the stomach too, so eating would have its precautions as well. Hawks got ready for the day, seeing a pair of clothes laid out for him in the restroom before entering the shower. Keeping his hair dry with the dryer as he looked himself up and down in a mirror. His clothes looked nice, casual, neat. It wasn't like his baggy cargo pants and tight shirt with the large jacket. It was a white shirt, plaid shirt over, unbuttoned to Hawks' liking, an ivy cap, and a pair of round sunglasses with yellow tints. It didn't even look bright outside so, he balanced the glasses on the hat instead. Checking the time, grabbing shoes and leaving. Walking out of the room and turning to his right was a large window, showing how high off the ground they really were. He turned the other way to go down the hall and into the elevator. Going to the lowest floor took at least two minutes, hearing the ding and being greeted with eyes of both villain and innocents. He pulled out his phone, tucked in his wings and walked out of the resort calmly. Going back to the spam Rumi bombarded him of and actually reading each individual message sent carefully.
"Did you need a cord?" The deepen voice sent a shiver down Hawks' spine as he pushed Dabi off with one of his wings and kept walking. Texting Rumi something while covering himself slightly with his other wing as Dabi tried to pry it open. He kept typing, seeming to want to have the proper response. Emoji? A lot of punctuation? No punctuations? It was a struggle to talk in chats, especially when he was practically kidnapped and out in the wild. Eventually settling on a short response of 'I'm fine, what's happening?'. Even with the spams, none of them explained anything except that Hawks missed another important meeting, and no one can find him in his apartment. Of course Rumi responded quickly but before Hawks could give it a look over, his phone turned off. Battery was low. Low, Low, Low.
Sighing and tucking in his wings again as he turned to face Dabi. "Yeah. I could use a cord actually." With a smirk from Dabi, Hawks knew it was for something in return.
"What's with the stare birdie? I didn't do a thing yet. Got assigned as a guard or whatever to make sure no one takes you. You wanted a charger right?" Dabi grinned and walked away as if to say that he had lost his chance.
Asshole.
Hawks walked away going in the opposite direction before getting a small shock down his spine. The further, the stronger and eventually he had to turn back to Dabi.
"What'd you do?"
Grabbing Dabi by the collar and feeling a sense of relief as the shocking came to a stop.
"Gotta make sure the bird stays in it's coop. While you were sleeping hotel or resort or whatever bed, I had to take care of you on orders only. I only made sure to do what I was told." Dabi was lowered and pushed away as he tossed a charger to Hawks, which was easily caught.
