"Bye!"
The door to room 172 shut slowly behind Ryuu as he left for the day. He had talked with Izuku for a while before leaving. He caught his friend up on what he missed while being out. He told him all about his creation that exploded and how he fixed it and filled him in on gossip. Izuku had finished his plans and was just started on the gauntlets when he noticed how late it was.
He huffed and continued working. He had a lot of time to make up for being out, he could work a little overtime. He pulled his welding hood down to cover his eyes and began to torch the metal of the gauntlet together. Among the noise of the welding instrument, Izuku didn't hear Katsuki enter the room and walk up to him.
————
Katsuki had talked himself up the whole walk to Room 172. He assumed his nervousness was because he was about to say sorry and thank the idiot, nothing else. He pushed open the door and was welcomed with the loud sound of welding. Katsuki looked into the room and saw a bright light where Izuku normally was sitting.
He walked to the omega's desk and stopped a few feet in front of him and his loud project. Katsuki smiled to himself as he watched Izuku work away completely unaware of his surroundings. The alpha's smile quickly fell when he noticed the expression he was making. He pulled up a chair and sat watching for about three minutes before Izuku glanced up and noticed he was being watched.
The torch was quickly shut off and Izuku flipped his hood up and stared at Katsuki with round eyes of shock.
"Ah-um-Katsuki! Sorry-I didn't notice you.."
Katsuki shrugged, "It's whatever, I wasn't waiting long."
Izuku watched as the chair in front of his desk swayed back and forth.
"Well..what're you doing here? I just started working on your gauntlets so.. theyre not done y-"
"I wanted to.. talk to you about something, nerd"
Izuku locked eyes with Katsuki for a split second before quickly averting his eyes down to his desk. Pink spread across his cheeks. Is he going to talk to me about the.. other night? I hope not, I just want to forget that ever happened. Is he mad?
Katsuki sighed, he felt heat rise in his face and it took everything in him not to walk out the door. However, that would be the wrong thing to do in this situation. Izuku was working tirelessly on his support items, he deserves an apology and a thank you. It's the least Katsuki could do for him after causing so much trouble.
Izuku waited for Katsuki to talk. His worry spread throughout his whole body as he waited to get yelled at. Katsuki gripped his hands into fists, eyes glued to the floor before he spoke.
"Listen..uh..first off.."
The alpha's leg was now bouncing up and down, Izuku almost felt bad for him. He looked riddled with anxiety at the thought of even talking to him..did he do something wrong?
"I wanted to say...thank..you for uhm, that night.. you uh- found me"
Izuku was surprised. He expecting everything but what the alpha just said.
"Oh-! You're..welcome. I'm glad you are okay..I was really worried especially since it was my fault.."
Katsuki locked eyes with Izuku, the omega couldn't look away this time, the alpha's red eyes had him frozen still.
"It was not your fault, Idiot. I said this before, It was my fault. Stop fucking blaming yourself"
"I-"
