What Happened in Room 172 || BakuDeku Omegaverse

• Chapter Nine •

Seconds after the door shut behind Katsuki, Ryuu practically threw himself out of his chair. Tripping over his feet more than a few times, he finally made it to Izuku's desk who was too busy scrambling to get Katsuki's gauntlet plans in order to notice.

Ryuu breathlessly slammed his hands onto Izuku's desk, leaning down until he was inches away from the omega's face,

"What...was that?!"

Izuku could hear the excitement which laced those hushed words,

"I don't know what you mean."

Izuku responded with a grin which irritated the other omega,

"Are you serious? You can't lie to meee!"

Ryuu stood crossing his arms in defeat. Izuku shrugged and tried to focus back on his work. Within a split second of studying Izuku, Ryuu understood everything. He instantly noticed how the omega stared down at his work with lovey puppy eyes instead of his usual stern focus.

"Are you two dating?!"

Izuku jumped at the sudden outburst from his friend,

"What? No, lower your voice.."

Ryuu leaned in once again,

"What do you mean no?"

"We haven't.. made anything official, we have done..things and we have mutual feelings.. but we never...yeah"

Izuku's embarrassment stopped his sentence short. Luckily Ryuu understood what he meant and smiled at him as he responded,

"I understand..but I do think there is something there!" 

Ryuu finally took his leave after not getting a response from Izuku, going back to start his own work. Izuku sat and thought of what his friend said. He believed he and Katsuki did have something special, but them being a couple would just cause problems for the alpha, right?

Katsuki was busy signing paperwork at his desk when Eijiro walked over to him. His friend instantly looked annoyed the moment he heard him coming. Eijiro smiled to himself, leaning against the wall adjacent to Katsuki's desk,

"You wanna come over to my place later? Me and a couple of the guys are going to watch a-"

"No."

Katsuki replied firmly, he couldn't care less about wasting his time with a movie, he would rather be with Izuku. Eijiro shrugged,

"Well, okay then. Are you going to go to the support room later?"

Katsuki frowned, he began to write faster. He would rather finish all of his paperwork in one sitting than have to listen to any more of this prying conversation. Eijiro took a moment to think before he spoke again,

"Oh! That thing me and Uraraka were talking about, I never told you! So apparently soulmates are a thing!"

Katsuki stopped writing to look up at his friend,

"What the f-"

"No, no hear me out, man! Soulmates have a special connection-"

Katsuki slammed his hands on his desk, his head whipping around to glare at his friend,

"I am busy."

Eijiro gave Katsuki a soft smile before he continued,

"Pheromones alone do not send alphas into an early rut, bro. I think what you and Midoriya have is..."
