The Realms

Act- 2 chapter 2

The demon king sat there leaning on his hand. He stands, his mantle folding over and hiding his body. He steps down walking towards the four. He stops once he reaches Steven, he places his hand on Stevens shoulder. "You are excused..." He said. Steven nodded, he got up and left.

The king looks at the four. "h-hello..." Destiny stuttered, getting nervous and startimg to rubbing her hand. "no need to be afraid, I mean no harm, me and Shawn are acquaintances" the kings frame was big, he was tall as well, he had to kneel down to reach their level.

"Dang your tall" Jasper said out loud. Destiny looks back to Jasper with an expression that yelled "really!?"

"Yes most demons don't reach my height, but being from a royal blood line I'm much taller than most adult demons." He said calmly. "Who are you?" Lukas asked.

"I'm Xander king of demons, ruler of Excupse..." His mantle was created from a red cloth, and there were feathers littered around the edges and on the base were it connected to his armor. Kim stared at them frightened. "Worry not, no birds were killed" Xander said reassuring Kim.

Kim let out a small sigh. "So anyway, where is Shawn..." Xander said looking at the four. Lukas explained, what happened. "So that's what she meant..." Lukas raised a brow. "Who?" He asked. "the raider leader Lola, she visited my kingdom and came with a warning, a lady in red appeared and offered a bounty on someone close to me, she said she would make sure they stayed safe once they appeared"

"Huh, so Lukewit and Excupse are actually still really close, I would have thought with the raiders taking control of Lukewit It would have caused some sort of strain in the deal" Destiny said. "Yes, alot have thought that but the raiders and the demons, or the horned demons at least are on good terms, the fox demons on the other hand don't like the raiders and this has caused a separation between the horned and Fox demons."

"So your kingdoms split into two sides, that can't be good..." Kim said from behind Jasper. "Your right it isn't but hopefully the binding of souls ritual will change that, with this upcoming war, well need the entire kingdom" Xander turns around it was only the, did the four see the stained glass mural above the throne.

"Tell me your all aware of who you are right?" They looked at Xander with confusion. "I'll take that as a no... The goddess of light has informed me of your situation, not the current one but one that been going on for ages, unfortunately I can't release this information it's up to you all to figure it out, you'll find out who you are the. It'll all make sense." Xander looks back for he mural. It was of symbols each of a distinct God or goddess. With a seemingly lady made completely of white behind them her arms open extending out to the symbols.

"Much is to be learned unfortunately time is something we don't have" Xander turns back and walks up to his throne he sets himself on it and motioned for the four to leave.

"What do you think he means?" Destiny asked. "Not sure and I kinda don't want to..." Kim said frightened. "It's alright Kim, I'm sure this is guys just delusional" Jasper said. "No... He's not" they look to Lukas.

"This feeling we felt for the longest time as if being brought into something that's bigger then us, haven't you noticed anything, weve been caught up in so many unnatural situations, there so mething about us we don't realize" Lukas continues to ramble on. Destiny looks at the other two and they look at her before going back to Lukas.

"Let's find a place to rest, it's been an eventful afternoon..." Destiny said reassuring Lukas. "Maybe..." Lukas mumbled. Destiny looks back to Xander. "Do you have any where for us to stay?" Xander didn't reply at first.

"Hello?" Destiny said. "Yes, there's multiple rooms in the castle pick on and sleep in it " Xander said waving them off. Destiny sighs and takes everyone.

Xander sits there, he pounders a question he's had for awhile. "Why have I lost so much to the world..." Xander didn't know the same and he knew he'd probably never get an answer, he's asked the Diane directly but she even said our lesser lives aren't controlled by them. Xander calls Steven back in.

Steven walks back in and kneels in front of Xander. "Meet Kai, they said he left earlier and is on his way here, find him and make sure he gets here safely, got it..." Steven nodded and left at once.

"Only time will tell what happens next" Xander hears them, how could he not, he hears his sins clawing and scratching at the wall. "even after all these years you still don't leave"

"Hard to, when you were tossed away like nothing..." Xander didn't turn or pay any attention to the voice other then talking back. "You accepted the curse, you have in to the temptation, you brought it upon yourself Abigail..." Abigail chuckles from the shadows. "Your sins you hear them, there getting restless, dangerous, loud it's only a matter of time Xander" Xander still didn't look in her direction. "How'd you even get in"

Abigail laughs. "Oh, Xander this was once my castle to, I lived here just as long as you did..." Xander sighs and turns he looks at Abigail. He wasn't happy to see her. "Shawn informed me on your escape from the prison realm, can't say I'm to happy about that" Xander stands up and slowly moves towards Abigail. "Are you even really here, or is this some kind of projection, did you actually have the decency to show your actually self."

Abigail walks into Xanders view. "You're a king for a dying kingdom, you will soon have nothing but that worthless crown to remind you of your kingdom..." Abigail turns away and walks down the red carpet, she reaches the end and looks back to Xander who was still sitting on the throne. "Atleast I'm not the one that sold our son away..."

"You still believe that, we both know he ran away, we both know he left ran from his home because of you" Abigail glares back at Xander. "Yeah not happy to be called out huh, he ran away because of you, you just had to get greedy with power and scare our son away!" Xander shouted.

Abigail turns back around. "Please your just as much to blame, you negligence towards him fighting with me you completely ignored him..." Abigail said. "DONT ACT LIKE YOU CARE!" Xander shouted. Xander huffs and puffs as flames erupt from his mantle. Abigail continues to glare at him.

Xander calms down letting out a sigh. "Even before accepting the curse you still didn't care for him, all you cared about was making him a weapon, you saw him as a weapon not a child not our son..." Xander looks down. "I was to blinded to see what you were doing to him..." Xander looks to Abigail.

"You were never a good mother..." Abigail doesn't answer the room fell silent. Xander knew the woman he knew before was long gone. Abigail still looked at Xander, Xander was walking away from her he had enough of these fights enough of these problems he was done. Abigail stood there staring at his back as he walked away.

Abigail turns around and starts walking away. Flames rise engulfing Abigail, when the fire dissapers she was no longer there. A figure behind a pillar, there identity shrouded in shadow, step away from the pillar, a drop of blood falls and stains the floor.
