It was the weekend, and as usual, Jungkook was getting ready for a night out. Jin watched from the kitchen as Jungkook pulled on his leather jacket, his energy electric with excitement. Parties were Jungkook's thing-loud music, dancing, being the center of attention. It was a world Jin couldn't understand, one that he didn't belong to.

"Coming with us tonight?" Jungkook asked, flashing that trademark smirk, the one that made Jin's heart skip a beat. "You never know, you might have fun."

Jin shook his head, offering a weak smile in return. "I'll pass. Not really my scene."

Jungkook shrugged, unaffected, but he crossed the room to Jin, his proximity sending shivers down Jin's spine. "You should really come sometime. I bet you'd be the life of the party once you loosened up." His voice was low, teasing, and Jin's breath caught as Jungkook leaned in, his face inches away.

It was always like this-Jungkook flirting, making Jin's heart race, only to pull away and leave Jin in a state of confusion. Jungkook was a natural flirt, and Jin knew better than to read into it. But knowing didn't stop the rush of emotions that followed every encounter.

"You know," Jungkook whispered, his breath warm against Jin's ear, "you're cute when you get all shy."

Jin felt his face heat up, his heart pounding in his chest. "Stop messing with me," he mumbled, trying to laugh it off, but it came out strained, like he was trying too hard to play it cool.

Jungkook laughed softly, straightening up. "Just saying, aside for that red eat didn't lie" he said with a wink before heading toward the door. "Don't wait up."

Jin watched him leave, his chest tight with longing. He knew this was how it would always be-Jungkook flirting, teasing, but never really seeing him. Because at the end of the night, Jungkook would come home to someone else. And Jin would be left alone, in the dark, wondering what might've been.

-----
Jin had stayed up late, not because he wanted to, but because sleep refused to come. His mind was a mess, thoughts of Jungkook and Mingyu swirling together until he couldn't separate them anymore. It was suffocating, this constant ache of unrequited love, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't shake it.

When the door clicked open in the middle of the night, Jin didn't move. He heard the soft footsteps, the familiar rustle of Jungkook's clothes as he kicked off his shoes. He could picture him perfectly, probably slightly tipsy, a lazy grin on his face from a night of fun and dancing.

Jin didn't expect Jungkook to stop by his room, though. He certainly didn't expect the door to crack open, the dim hallway light casting a faint glow over the bed where Jin lay.

"You're still up?" Jungkook's voice was low, his words slightly slurred.

Jin turned, blinking up at Jungkook, who stood in the doorway, leaning against the frame. His hair was messy, his eyes half-lidded. Jin's breath caught at the sight-Jungkook looked... soft, vulnerable in a way that made Jin's heart clench.

"Couldn't sleep," Jin muttered, sitting up slowly, trying to steady his racing heart.

Jungkook stepped into the room, moving closer until he was standing by the bed. Jin could smell the faint scent of alcohol on his breath, mixed with the cologne that Jungkook always wore. It made Jin's head spin.

Before Jin could process what was happening, Jungkook leaned down, his hand resting on the bed for support. His face was suddenly so close, too close, and Jin felt his pulse skyrocket.

Then it happened.

A kiss.

Jin's eyes widened in shock as Jungkook's lips brushed against his, tentative at first. The kiss was sweet, filled with the confusion of unspoken feelings and uncharted territory. For a moment, Jin couldn't think-everything melted away except for the warmth of Jungkook's lips against his.

But just as quickly as it began, Jungkook pulled back, a look of surprise mirroring Jin's own. "I... I'm sorry," Jungkook stammered, his cheeks flushed. "I didn't mean to-"

"No, it's okay," Jin blurted out, panic rising in his chest. "It's just... unexpected."

Jungkook looked torn, his expression shifting between embarrassment and something else-something that flickered in his eyes and made Jin's heart leap.

"Right," Jungkook said, clearing his throat as he stepped back. "I should go."
