At midnight: The Butler, Perform

*3rd pov*

"Say...Can I sleep on the top bunk?" The kid asked as they climb the stairs. "By all means. I was just thinking I would prefer the lower bunk." Smile said. 'I don't want to climb up there...' Smile thought. "I've been thinkin'. You sure speak real pretty 'n' upper crust, like." Freckled face told him. "Eh? D-Do I? It must be because I've been working at a manor since I was little..." Smile lies. "Ohhh! Well, if you need help, ask me anythin'! I've been in the circus a lot longer than you! I know! Want some candy? It's that popular Funtom kind! I got caramel, milk, and strawberry! Which one you want?" Freckled face takes out three lollipops. "I—I'll take caramel then..." Smile takes the caramel lollipop. 'Damn! I won't be able to visit Sebastian and (Y/n)'s tent like this.'

*With Sebastian, (Y/n), and William*

"You'll sleep on the upper bed. This line marks the edge of my own private territory, so please do not set foot beyond it." Suit draw a line by his bed. "Very well." I say! Why must I live with a devil...?" Suit complains. "Oh, so I'm good?" Kitty asked. "You're less troublesome." Suit tells her and looks at Black. "Let me make one thing clear from the outset. Unlike devils, grim reapers need to sleep. Don't make noises late at night and disturb my rest." Suit warns. "My kind does enjoy sleep as a luxury, however..." Black side-eyed Kitty as she walks out of the tent.

At night, Black lays on the bed wide away, then sits up but the scythe blocks his way. "Where are you going? Lights-out was ages ago, for heaven's sake... I won't stand for you snatching souls while I sleep. Please do not go wandering without your master." Suit warns him. ".....I shall be rather bored till morning." Black lays back down.

*With (Y/n)*

Kitty walks around still as a cat. "I can't deal with those two. I can feel the sexual tension between the two." Kitty sighs. "'ello little Kitty! What 're you doing past lights out?" Joker picks up Kitty. "Black and Suit keep fighting and it's so annoying for them to argue that I can't get a wink of sleep." Kitty complains as Joker chuckles and pets her head. "'orry to hear that, but it's for 'em to get along." Joker smiles as Kitty goes to Joker's shoulder and transforms into her to human form.

Kitty sits on Joker's shoulders as he blushes bright red and holds her thighs to secure her. "So? Is there a reason why you're also out late at night?" Kitty asked him which he flinched. "I... I was... patrolling the 'rea to make sure 'rything is in 'ape." Joker told her. "Alright. *yawn* I'm going back to bed." Kitty jumps off of Joker. "Righty-o, 've a good nights rest Kitty." Joker waves bye to her. "You too, Skelly." Kitty leaves as Joker sighs, looks down, and goes to his tent.

Kitty decides to go to Smile's tent instead since she doesn't want to deal with Black and Suit right now. She heads inside to see Smile and Freckle face asleep, Kitty jumps to Smile's bed, crawls under Smile's arms to cuddle, and Smile holds Kitty subconsciously.

*The next day*

"...y. Hey!" Smile opens his eye and rubs his other eye. "U...Nn...Sebastian?" Smile mutters. "What're you sayin', Smile!? Wake up!" Freckle face shakes him. "!!!" Smile sits up fast and holds Kitty while covering his eye. "Oh! Yer finally awake. Rookies gotta get up early and make the mornin' grub! No takin' it easy and stayin' in bed!" Freckle face informs. "Yes!" Smile gets ready as he puts Kitty on his pillow.

Smile puts on his eye-patch, puts his pants on, removes his nightgown, and buttons his white shirt. "Too slow! Smile, I'm gonna leave you behind!!" Freckle face shouts at him. "Coming!" Smile grabs Kitty and leaves the tent.

"Can you really call that personal grooming?" Black asked. Smile's hair is messy and his clothes are also messy while he carries a bucket full of potatoes. "It seems you cannot even dress yourself properly." Black teases. "Smile was so slow at changing." Kitty yawns as Black chuckles. "I was in a hurry." Smile told him. "Dear, oh dear. You will have trouble undoing a half-knot alone." Black goes to fix the eye-patch as the rest of the rookies and freckle face see this. "Ah ha ha ha ha ha! Smiiiile! So, like, Black ain't your mum, okay!?" Freckle face laughs while Kitty chuckles at the sight. "No--! This is... A habit... I mean, I just happened to..." Smile stands up. "Sebastian! Do not treat me as your master while we're here! Leave me alone!" Smile whispers to Black. "Understood...then without delay-- Smile, what do you plan to make with the potatoes when the skins have more potatoes on themselves." Black stands up and points out Smile's mistake. "You messed it up, Smiley." Kitty said.
