Beacon Butler

"Ball, ball, ball! Tonight we're going to a costume ball!" Finny sings, excitedly. "I'm looking forward to it, yes!" Mey-Rin smiles. "Yeah, he's even letting us servants come as long as we wear costumes! Now that's a nice fellow for you. Hmm... what's his name, again? Tr... Tr... Trumpet?" Bard guessed. "It's 'Lord Trancy,' yes!" Mey-Rin corrected.

Inside the carriage is Ciel, Sebastian, and (Y/n) who is sleeping on Sebastian's lap. "Alois Trancy... You say the previous Earl Trancy died eight years ago?" Ciel asked. "Yes." Sebastian confirm. "Eight years ago..." Ciel remembers back to the old mansion burning down as Ciel runs around for his parents then remembers being held down by many hands. "Alois went missing after he was kidnapped when he was very young. But he came back just before his father passed away. Along with a mysterious butler... Isn't that right?" Ciel looks at Sebastian. "Sounds familiar." (Y/n) joked which made the two glare at her. "Yes, my lord. The story seems familiar somehow." Sebastian said. "It's a common one." Ciel said as (Y/n) yawns.

They arrive at the mansion as Sebastian steps out first with (Y/n) inside his vest and out came Ciel. "Right, then. We'll be coming in the back way." Bard said. "See you later, young master!" Mey-Rin waves. "Look forward to seeing our costumes!" Finny said and they left with the carriage. (Y/n) decided to climb on top of Sebastian's head.

The two walked up to the door, Sebastian was about to knock the door but it opened to see a butler with side-slick  back hair, glasses, and yellow eyes. "The Right Honorable Ciel, Earl Phantomhive, I presume? We've been expecting you. I am Claude Faustus, the butler of this house." Claude introduced himself and his eyes saw (Y/n) on top of Sebastian's head. 'A cat?' Claude thought with confusion. Claude pushes the door as he walks backwards to let them in. "Please come in."

They were about to step inside, but Sebastian stopped and looked up which made Ciel stop as well. "What is it?" Ciel asked which Claude looked up to see a spider web and a spider, "Ah, yes. The Trancy coat of arms bears a spider, so it's our tradition not to kill them." Claude explained. "That makes sense. If you try to force it away, it will cling to you for life." Sebastian gave a mocking smile at Claude. "This way, please." Claude said as they enter the manor. "Might my butler come along?" Ciel asked Claude. "Of course."

"Come on." Ciel said. "Certainly." Sebastian. "I'm sorry, but I'm afraid my master is currently away on business. He'll return in time for the ball." Claude informs them as he closes the door. "I see." Ciel said. "I've laid out tea in the drawing room. Everyone else is already there." Claude informed. "'Everyone else'?" Ciel is confused. 

Sebastian opens the door and Ciel steps inside the room. "Ciel!" Lizzie hugs Ciel as Paula bows to greet Ciel. "Elizabeth!" Ciel said. "Oh! Call me Lizzie!" Lizzie reminded him. "Aren't you late, Earl?" Ciel turn to see Lau and Ran-Moa. "Lau? Were you all invited, too?" Ciel asked. "I can see that." (Y/n) said as Ran-Moa gets up and goes to play with (Y/n). "Ciel!" Soma runs and hugs Ciel. "What did I say about you hugging me!" Ciel tries to get away from Soma which the rest  laugh at the antics.

Agni goes to remove Soma as Sebastian takes (Y/n) back and goes to Ciel. "Let us retire to your room, young master. You have to get ready for the ball. Come." Sebastian and Ciel leave the room with (Y/n) on top of Sebastian's head. The triplets walked up to them and led the way. (Y/n) looked at the triplets and jumps on top of the triplets which is the one left. The one with the bangs on the left felt pressure on his head and looks up to see a black cat on top of his head that he grabs the cat and looks closely while his brothers look at the cat which now the triplets keep passing the cat between the three while Sebastian and Ciel talk.

"What strange men." Ciel said. "Foreigners are hard to fathom." Sebastian said as Ciel sighs. "Sebastian, investigate this mansion thoroughly. Understood?" Ciel orders Sebastian. "Yes." Sebastian nods.
