*3rd pov*

"It's been this way for as long as I can remember. He just never says the words I long to hear. He got even more distant when father put him in charge of the Noah's Ark Troupe." Beast explains as she lays on her bed. "Father?" Sebastian questions. "Our patron. He aided in the development of our artificial limbs and granted us new bodies." Beast informs as Sebastian's hand goes up to Beast's prosthetic leg. "Then this hallmark belongs to "father"?" Sebastian asked as he rubbed the hallmark. "That's right. We all belong to father." Beast confirms. "–What is his name?" Sebastian questions her.

"Why do you want to know? ......NN! Ah..." Beast squirms. "I cannot greet him properly if I do not even know his name. You and I are no longer mere acquaintances, after all... So you can tell me, can't you?" Sebastian smirks. "Father is–"

*Meanwhile with Joker and (Y/n)*

"Joker, we need to talk." (Y/n) tells him. "Can't it wait 'til morning? I 'ave plans to do." Joker tried to walk pass (Y/n), but she grabbed his arm. "I'm not asking." (Y/n) looks at him. "'Right. 'Ake it quick." Joker sighs and the two sit on two wooden boxes. "Joker, are you happy?" (Y/n) asked. "What? Of 'ours I'm happy." Joker fakes his smile. "Wow, you're good at lying." (Y/n) sighs as Joker twitches. "You can fool everybody in this circus, but not me." Joker looks down. "What you're doing is stupid." (Y/n) insults. "Stupid, you say?" Joker clenched his fist. "You don't know what I've been through. What we've been through. Father is the one that took us, so we owe him everything." Joker looks at (Y/n).

"Is that what you believe?" (Y/n) asked. "Yes." Joker nods. "You don't think that this "father" of yours is just using you and the others for something?" Joker flinches. "How does this "father" treat you? Does he order you around? Does he lie to you?" (Y/n) gives these questions to him. "I....I..." Joker could not answer. "You're denying that "father" could be a terrible man." (Y/n) said. "You're wrong! Father has his reasons." Joker tries to defend. "And if those reasons are bad?" Joker stays quiet. "Joker, look at me." Joker looks at (Y/n). "I want you to join me."

"What?" Joker's eyes widened. "You heard me. Join me and you can be free from "father's" clutches." (Y/n) offers. "I..." Joker hesitates. "Joker, I know that you're a good person. You're suffering by that "father" and I know deep down that you disagree with him." Joker's eyes widened. (Y/n) stands up and is about to walk away, but stops. "My offer still stands. Think about it." (Y/n) walks away as Joker stares at her. 'I wish I could...' Joker clenched his chest where his heart is as it beats rapidly. He sighs and leaves the circus.

*At the main tents*

"I wonder where sis is? I 'aven't seen 'er. I 'onder if sis is thinking of me!?" Dagger gushes. "Aren't you a simp?" (Y/n) stated which Dagger jumps. "Ah! Kitty!? You scared me." Dagger placed his hand over his chest. "My bad. I'm wondering why you're out here in the cold of night." (Y/n) walks up to him. "I've been trying to find sis to 'alk to 'er about something." Dagger explains to her. "What 'bout you?" Dagger asked. "Was taking a stroll since Black and Suit can't stop arguing." (Y/n) lied. "Ah, I see." Dagger said.

"I have a question for you, Dagger?" (Y/n) looks at him. "What is it?" Dagger asked. "Why do you like Beast?" (Y/n) asked. Dagger starts to rant on why he likes Beast. "Dagger, do you think that Beast doesn't feel the same way as you?" (Y/n) tells him which he flinches. "Well, she 'ill has time 'fore she realizes that I'm the one for 'er." Dagger smirks. "Dagger, be for real. Beast doesn't love you like that and you know it. You keep denying it." (Y/n) stated.

"Sis is the only 'ne that has my 'eart." Dagger looks down. "But what if she's not?" (Y/n) asked. "Then, 'hat's the point of 'ove?" Dagger looks sad. "Listen, Dagger." Dagger looks at her. "You're a great guy. You're very optimistic and if Beast can't see that, then she's not the one for you. The right person will show up for you, one day." (Y/n) pat Dagger's shoulder. "Keep that in mind." (Y/n) leaves as Dagger looks at her. 'I think I did find the right person.' Dagger thought.
