"Leave marks-" He breathes out. "Please leave marks."
She smiles against his ear.
"You're so pathetic," she replies.
"I'm so pathetic..." he agrees, surrendering to the only person who could destroy him.

She thought she could forget him easily. But he invaded her thoughts like a whisper she couldn’t silence.
(Author's pov)
After knowing Aditya was mafia, Anamika hoped that he would forget their accident, which happened at the shagun ceremony.
Anamika got busy with her responsibilities. She spent whole days in the banquet hall, making sure everything was going perfectly. At night, she didn't have little energy to even change her clothes. But still, her mind somehow revolved around Aaditya; whenever she remembered him, a warm tingling sensation was there in her stomach.
Being busy and tired didn't make Anamika forget Aditya. Somehow her thoughts revolve around him.

*Anamika*
I was tapping my feet on the ground of the footpath, waiting for Riya, my arms crossed around my chest. I checked the time on my wristwatch. She was 20 minutes late.
A few minutes later she came running towards me, chatting sorry.
"Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry", she said, reaching me. Her chest heaved as she struggled to catch her breath, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. Out of breath, she started coughing.
"Here, drink some water first," I said and passed my water bottle from my handbag. Riya took a few sips of cold water, letting the cool liquid soothe her dry throat. Slowly, her breathing steadied, and the flush in her cheeks began to fade making her come back to her normal self.
"I am sorry Ana. There was a man who had a fractured hand. I was helping him that's why I got late. I am sorry, really sorry" she said apologising
"Hey, stop apologising, it's all right. I am usually late, so it is nothing. I get it." I said assuring her.
"Thank you for understanding Ana, that man was struggling, so I couldn't resist but help him", Riya said
"You did the right thing, if I was you, I would have done the same. Now let's go we are already late. Sanya mam is waiting. She already called me many times." I said informing her
"Yeah, let's go," she said.
Riya and I walked toward the café, where our client, Sanya Mam, was waiting. The cafe wasn’t far so in a few minutes we reached there.
*Here we go* I thought, squaring my shoulders before pushing open the glass door. The smell of coffee drifted through the air, and I took a slow breath, ready for whatever came next.
The cafe was small, so as we opened the door, we could already see Sanya mam sipping coffee while waiting for us. We walked to her table
"Hello, good evening mam," I said greeting her
"Hi Anamika, I have been waiting for you for 15 minutes. Where were you?" She asked me
"Sorry, mam, My neighbour's dog died,", I said and made a sad face.
