He looked at her like he saw a goddess, radiant and untouchable, igniting something deep within him.

*Aditya*

Morning light streamed through the curtains, illuminating the room but doing little to chase away the darkness that had settled in my mind. I rubbed my temples, a headache brewing from the lack of sleep. My thoughts drifted back to her.

Anamika

Damn it, I was losing my mind. She had a way of worming her way into my thoughts, twisting my insides into knots, and it was driving me insane. I couldn't concentrate on work, couldn't focus on anything without her image flashing through my mind.
It was like I was losing control over my own life.

I tossed back the sheets and forced myself out of bed. The morning routine was mechanical, a series of motions that required little thought. But as I got dressed, every glance in the mirror reminded me of her. It was like I was under some damn spell. "Get a grip, Aditya," I muttered to myself, running a hand through my hair. "You have a business to run."

Just as I grabbed my phone, a call from Shiv lit up the screen. I answered it quickly, my heart racing with an odd mix of anxiety and anticipation. "Shiv, you on your way?"

"Yeah, I'm almost there. You good, sir?" His voice was steady, a contrast to the chaos swirling in my head.

"Not really. I've got this feeling. Like something's about to go sideways. I don't trust Vikram."

"Vikram? You just closed that deal last week. What's changed?"

"Something feels off. I can't shake it." I sighed, running a hand down my face. "I need you to keep an eye on things today. I don't want any surprises."

"Sure thing, sir. I'll keep my ears open."

As I was driving to the office, his call came through.

"Sir, you were right. Vikram's been meeting with the wrong kind of people," Shiv said, his voice low. "Looks like he's planning something."

My grip tightened on the wheel. I knew it. "Where is he?"

Shiv gave me the location. I ended the call, my mind already shifting into battle mode. There was no time to waste. Vikram thought he could backstab me? He was about to learn how wrong he was.

When I arrived at the rundown building Vikram was using as his base, the tension in the air hit me like a wall. My men were already in position, silently waiting for my signal. Shiv was there too, despite his fractured hand. He wasn't the type to sit out, even with an injury.

I approached the door cautiously, signalling my men to surround the building. As I stepped inside, the dim light barely revealed Vikram and his gang of thugs. He was lounging, smug as ever, clearly not expecting me to come.
