An Aurors Surprise

Life without Ron

(Authors Note : Hi! Hope you guys are enjoying the story. I just wanted to say that there has been a time jump since the last chapter. This chapter takes place 1 month after Ron and Harry leave on the Dolohov Mission)

Blurrrrrggggghhhhhhhhh!!!! Hermione vomited for the 7th time today. She was achy, tired, and felt terrible. She needed some support, but she didn't have Ron. All she wanted was to hug Ron. To have Ron helping her. So she did the next best thing. She grabbed her wand, cast the patronus charm, instructing the otter to get Ginny, but leave James at Mr and Mrs Weasleys house.

Not even 30 seconds later, Hermione heard the familiar crack of someone apparating, but, then a second later she was vomiting. Suddenly, Ginny was by her side, holding back her hair and rubbing her back.

Once Hermione had finished vomiting, Ginny said, " Hermione, are you ok? This isn't like you." She had a sudden moment of realisation. " Hermione, are you ... like are you ... pregnant?"

" I ... I think ... I might be." Stuttered Hermione.

" OMG!! YOU MIGHT BE PREGNANT!!! I MIGHT BE AN AUTIE!!!RON MIGHT BE A DAD!!! JAMES MIGHT HAVE A NEW COUSIN TO PLAY WITH!!!!!" Screamed Ginny, jumping up and down from excitement, but all Hermione could do was smile weakly, all her energy had been used up from her vomiting .

" Wait, Hermione, because you are so weak from vomiting, instead of taking you to Saint Mungos, shall we get Parvati Patil to come here. We are friends, after all, and she was my midwife for James. I will send her a patronus!"

So, Ginny went into the next room, while Hermione cleaned herself up and got into a fresh button up pyjama set. 5 minutes later, Ginny came back, looking really happy, and said, " Parvati can come, she is going to be here in 30 minutes! Do you want some help getting into bed, you could have a nap for the next 30 minutes?That ok for you?" And with that, Ginny helped Hermione into bed, and as soon as Hermione was in bed, she fell asleep.

"Hermione? Hermione! Wake up! Parvati is here, she is just setting up here equipment." Hermione sleepily opened her eyes and saw Ginny hovering over her, and across the room was Parvati, her back turned to her as she made sure her healer wand, which was different to a normal wand as it had the ability to do complex healing spells.

"Hi Hermione, I understand that today I am seeing if you are pregnant, so, can you please tell me any symptoms?" Said Parvati in her honey voice.

" Um, I keep vomiting, I keep having mood swings , I am so tired, and I have some food cravings." Whispered Hermione.

" Ok, Hermione, these do see like pregnancy symptoms, so shall we do the test? basically, I am going to do a charm on your stomach, it will probably tickle, and around a metre above your stomach, if you are pregnant, a bubble will form, and inside, we can see your baby.Ok?" And with a nod from Hermione, Parvarti cast the spell and............
