[3rd POV]

Four years ago, the most powerful enemy Earth had ever seen -Majin Buu-  appeared to terrorize the known universe. His strength reached a level most believed to be impossible, and his thirst for destruction seemed unending. The defenders of Earth had no choice but to challenge the beast.

However, in the face of an overwhelming power, they were left in a terrible crisis that would have resulted in Earth's destruction. But thanks to an unexpected rescue from Nitrate, the world had been spared from its terrible fate and Majin Buu was defeated, restoring peace to the universe.

Since that world-shattering battle, the days and months had melded together into an unending time of peace. The Earth was safe, and all those who faced Majin Buu's wrath had been granted mercy through a wish to Shenron to remove all thoughts about the pink monstrosity.

The Z Fighters were living comfortably, and the universe's higher powers rested well knowing it would not be challenged once more. Of course, there had been a select few who struggled with managing ordinary life on Earth and easing out from the constant battles.

The most guilty, naturally, was Son Goku.

. . . .

. . . .

. . . .

In the open grasslands and hills, far beyond the populated cities, the familiar visage of Goku was currently undergoing an unenthusiastic duty of farming the lands. He sat, bored, in the seat of a partially-rusted tractor that sputtered smoke. It trembled across the freshly-pulled ground.

Goku sat with both arms folded against the wheel and blinking his dark eyes, attempting to keep an alertness despite the growing boredom and deep struggle to keep himself awake. The sun glared in the distant skies, blinding him, as the trees calmly waved their branches on the nearby mountains.

The Saiyan warrior released a loud yawn before scratching the top of his blackened hair, thoughts of training after work proving just enough to keep him focused on completing the tasks at hand. He wondered if Chi-Chi was doing the same to their resident Frost Demon, making him work nonstop.

???: "Dad!!!"

Goku: "Huh? Oh, hey Goten!"

Goten: "I brought you your lunch!!"

Goku perked up at the mention of food as he gave the purple box in Goten's hands a longing look. It earned him a loud giggle from his son, who soon placed the contents down and approached Goku with a large smile plastered on his face. He noted the tiredness in his father's expression but opted for remaining ignorant to the man's boredom.

Goku: "Wait...shouldn't you be at school?"

Goten: "Today's Sunday, dad."

Goku: "Seriously? I must be losing my mind! The farming's been draining recently, and I can't get any real training done."

Goten: "That sounds kinda bad."

Goku: "Yeah, no kidding. I could use a break..."

Standing up from the leather seat, Goku leaned himself off the tractor and stepped onto the earth beneath him, not minding the rough sounds his boots made when hitting the surface. He looked towards Goten and motioned to the tractor:

Goku: "Would you mind driving this thing for me while I eat lunch?"

Goten: "Sure..."
