"Where's Gunther?" I fired the moment I entered Valhalla's headquarters.
Abel turned to me; he was sitting on Gunther's swivel chair. His hair was pushed back, and he appeared more stressed than me. He stared at me behind his specs, his emerald eyes looking unusually serious.
"You brought your woman with you," he stated.
"You think I'll leave her after that?"
He smirked, but there's no humor in his eyes. Dahan-dahan siyang tumayo nang mabilis kong hakbangin ang distansya sa amin. He shot his brow when I grabbed his collar, my jaw clenching to a taut, preserving the remaining patience in me.
"Where's Gunther?" ulit ko.
"He's not here, as you can see. I kicked him out along with his loyal men here."
"You know what I was talking about. Where is he right now?"
"Why?" He smiled.
"I'll kill him," I said grimly.
"Watch your words, Angelus."
"Just. Fucking. Tell. Me!" I pounded my fist on his face, causing his two underdogs to rush towards us.
Matalim kong tiningnan si Apollo na tinulak ako sa dibdib, kunot ang noong nakatingin sa akin. Ze've got in between me and Abel, who was now laughing like an idiot.
"That temper you have is what will kill you one day. Can't you calm down?" Abel said languidly as he licked his lips, checking if I bruised him.
"Calm down?" I grinned, looking straight at him behind Apollo. "Why? Can you remain calm if that man you're obsessing with gets in danger?"
Napawi ang ngisi niya. The usual eyes filled with humor turned sharp and almost cut into slits while glaring at me. He removed his specs and put them on the table. He said something to Ze've, making him back out.
"Don't include Neziah here, Angelus. No matter how fucked up your decisions are after falling for that girl, I never blamed nor included her in any as shitty as this situation..." his voice was too calm, but his eyes were brimming with nothing but danger.
"This is fucking different. Gunther betrayed me and you're taking his side!"
"Taking his side?" He tilted his head. "No matter who's wrong or right, I'll never pick anyone between you two. In fact, I kicked him out. Does that count as taking his side?"
"Just tell me where he is," I said with thinning patience.
"And what? You'll kill each other? I'm trying to get in contact with him to set up a meeting. You know the rules of this organization, Angelus. Even if Gunther himself founded this frat, a betrayal is against the rules. And either the three of us are entitled to kick a traitor regardless of who they are."
