I lay in my bed, I can see Lily is awake, she's just turned away, I speak, my voice quiet, yet curious, "Are you mad at my Lily? I know I messed up but I'm scared... I was scared... I didn't know that would happen..." I turn to face her, slightly tapping her shoulder, her voice is cold, she slaps my hand away, "You killed my boyfriend Max, I loved him more than anything after the apocalypse, he was my love, and you killed him, so no, I'm not alright" I shiver, the cold draft shooting into my bare shoulder, "I know I screwed up... big time... but you've been sulking for weeks, we haven't set off yet. This shack won't last much longer, and Sam doesn't have much charge now" the wind shouts outside, harsh and strong, "I know... I know... but I can't get Over him... we were together before the apocalypse began, we stuck together the entire time..." I nodded in understanding, guilt in my eyes, "I know... Harrison was a good guy..." she shouts, "then whyd you kill him?!" I flinched  not expecting her to shout, "i heard him talking to you about settling down here, I couldn't let that happen" she grits her teeth, still not facing me, "And what's so bad about that? Huh? You're still looking for a sanctuary with no bots, that doesn't exist anymore Max! You need to learn that there is no sanctuary! People are barbaric now and the only reason I'm not leaving you is because you're not crazy! You aren't insane! But I'm starting to think you are! I'm starting to think you're mental!" I look to the ceiling, guilt washing over me, "you won't will you?" She grumbles an irritated 'what' and I reply, "you won't leave? Right?" She turns to face me, "maybe, yeah"

Morning arises, I stir awake, slowly standing and stretching, she's still asleep, atleast I can get dressed without her having to look away from my bare body. I grab my shirt, it's grey now, it used to be white, back when I was 8 I found this, it was 5 sizes up, It's still baggy on me to this day, even when I'm 16, I place my head through the bottom and swing it onto me, walking to her side of the bed and grabbing the pitch black joggers Harrison found for me a year ago. Placing my legs through the holes and pulling them up, finally covering myself, I shake Lily awake, who is hanging half way out of the small, silly excuse for a bed we share, better than what I had at home...
