Shanaya's POV

The night was a blur of lights, music, and emotions. The prom had taken an unexpected turn when Dhruv agreed to join them on the dance floor. The moment he extended his hand towards her, a spark shot through her, leaving her heart pounding in her chest.

"Would you like to dance?" he had asked, his voice deep and calm, though she could sense a hint of something more beneath the surface.

Without thinking, she placed her hand in his, her pulse quickening as his fingers curled around hers. The music changed, and the familiar tune of “Zara Zara Behekta Hai” began to play softly in the background. It felt as though the universe had orchestrated this very moment for them.

As they moved to the rhythm of the song, Shanaya couldn't ignore the tension between them. Her hand rested lightly on his shoulder, his hand firmly holding her waist, guiding her gently across the dance floor. Their eyes met briefly, but in that gaze, so much was said without a word being spoken.

“Yeh kya ho raha hai?” she thought, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks. The world around them blurred, and all she could focus on was him—his scent, the way his breath fanned across her cheek, the warmth of his touch.

"Zara zara behekta hai, mehekta hai... aaj toh mera tan badan..." the lyrics echoed in her ears, each word seeming to describe the very emotions swirling within her.

Dhruv’s grip tightened just slightly, his touch becoming more confident, and for a brief moment, Shanaya felt like she was in a dream. The way his eyes held hers, the way they moved in perfect sync with the music—it all felt too surreal. She closed her eyes, allowing herself to get lost in the moment, wishing it would never end.

But, as with all perfect moments, the song came to an end, and the spell was broken.

They stopped dancing, still close enough to feel each other's presence. Shanaya’s breath was shallow, her mind racing with thoughts she didn’t dare voice. Dhruv was silent, his expression unreadable, but she could sense that he was just as affected as she was.

"Main... I think I should go," Shanaya stammered, breaking the silence. "It’s getting late."
