Dhruv's POVThe morning sunlight streamed through the blinds, casting a soft glow on Dhruv Singhania’s face. He opened his eyes slowly, taking in the silence that filled his large, well-furnished apartment. For a moment, he lay there, staring at the ceiling.
Sab kuch hai mere paas, he thought to himself. Ek successful career, apna institute, paisa, izzat... par phir bhi kuch missing hai.
After his parents' sudden demise a few years ago and his sister's marriage, Dhruv had been living alone. The once lively home had become quiet, almost too quiet.
Kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki duniya bhar ki cheezein haasil karne ke baad bhi, jo apne hote hain, unki jagah koi nahi le sakta. He shook his head, pushing the thoughts away as he sat up in bed. Dwelling on these feelings wasn’t going to change anything. He had built his life and career on his own, and he wasn’t about to let his emotions get in the way.
“Kal institute mein naye batch ka pehla din hai,” he reminded himself, walking to the bathroom. He ran a successful computer institute—the best in Mumbai—something he had built from the ground up. He wouldn’t let anything distract him from that.
Shanaya's POVIn a small but cozy flat in the heart of Mumbai, Shanaya Oberoi woke up to the sound of her phone buzzing incessantly. Groggy and barely awake, she grabbed her phone. Her eyes widened when she saw the notification—a message from Singhania Institute.
“OMG! Mujhe Singhania Institute mein admission mil gaya!” she yelled excitedly, jumping out of bed.
She quickly dialed her brother’s number. "Bhaiii, guess what?" Her voice was filled with excitement.
On the other side, Vishal laughed, "Lagta hai sapna pura hua , admission mil gyi?"
"Haan bhai! Finally Singhania Institute ka hissa banne wali hoon," she gushed. "Dhruv Singhania ke under padhne ka chance! I can’t believe it!"
Her brother, Vishal, was her rock. He, along with his wife Niya, was the only family she truly cared about. Her parents? Well, that was just a formality. They had never understood her dreams, never supported her the way Vishal did.
“I’m so proud of you, Choti. Tum jo chahti ho, voh kabhi ruka nahi. Tumhara yeh determination mujhe hamesha inspire karta hai.” Vishal's voice was filled with warmth.
"Thanks, bhai. Aaj agar tum na hote toh shayad main yeh sab achieve nahi kar paati," Shanaya said softly, her eyes misty with emotion.
Her relationship with her parents had always been strained, but Vishal had filled that void, being both her brother and parental figure. And Niya, her sister-in-law, was like the elder sister she never had.
After the call, Shanaya stood by the window, looking out at the busy streets of Mumbai. This city had become her home, far from the suffocating atmosphere of her parents' house. She had made it on her own, with Vishal’s constant encouragement.
“Singhania Institute, here I come,” she whispered with a smile, ready to take on the world.
