It had been a week since Dhruv had started planning the perfect way to confess his feelings to Shanaya. He was a man of precision, used to control in all aspects of his life. But when it came to Shanaya, everything was different. She brought spontaneity into his world, something he never knew he needed, and now, he wanted her to be a part of his life forever.
He had been quietly working with Niyati and Rahil for days, planning every detail of his proposal. The villa was set, the music was ready, and all that was left was for Shanaya to arrive, unaware of the magical evening that awaited her.

Shanaya’s POV
It was an ordinary evening for Shanaya—or so she thought. She had been at the institute, finishing up her work when Niyati called her.
"Shanaya, I need you to come to this address. It’s important," Niyati had said mysteriously.
Shanaya frowned, confused. "Kya hua, Niyati? Sab thik toh hai?"
"Just trust me. Bas aa ja. And wear something nice, okay?"
Although puzzled, Shanaya did as she was told. She dressed in a beautiful, flowing lavender gown that accentuated her graceful frame, and as she looked in the mirror, a small smile crept onto her face. Something about tonight felt... special.
When she arrived at the address Niyati had sent, she realized it was Dhruv’s villa. The place that had become like a second home to her over the past few months. Her heartbeat quickened as she knocked on the door.
To her surprise, Rahil opened it, a knowing grin on his face.
"Welcome, madam," he said playfully, stepping aside to let her in.
The moment she entered, Shanaya’s breath hitched in her throat. The entire villa was transformed. Soft golden lights hung from the ceiling, casting a warm glow over the room. The space was filled with beautiful white flowers, and the soft melody of a piano played in the background.
"Yeh... sab kya hai?" she whispered, her eyes wide in wonder.
Just then, Niyati appeared, smiling warmly. "Yeh sab tumhare liye hai, Shanaya."
Before Shanaya could ask anything else, the music changed. The familiar notes of the song "Khuda Jaane" from Bachna Ae Haseeno filled the air, and out of the shadows stepped Dhruv, dressed in a sharp black suit, looking more handsome than ever. His eyes locked with hers, and in that moment, everything around them disappeared.
Dhruv’s POV
As Dhruv walked toward her, he could see the mixture of surprise and joy in her eyes. His heart was pounding, but for the first time in his life, it wasn’t from nerves or anxiety. It was from love.
"Shanaya," he whispered as he reached her, his voice soft but filled with emotion. "Aaj ka din... sirf tumhare liye hai."
Without saying another word, he extended his hand toward her, asking her silently for a dance. Shanaya hesitated for a brief second, but then she placed her hand in his, feeling the warmth and strength of his grip.
They moved slowly to the rhythm of the song, lost in each other. As the chorus of "Khuda Jaane" played, Dhruv spun her around, and Shanaya laughed, her face glowing with happiness. The world outside ceased to exist, and it was just the two of them, dancing in their own little universe.

Shanaya’s POV
As the dance continued, Shanaya couldn’t help but feel like she was in a dream. Dhruv, the man who had been her teacher, her mentor, had now become so much more. The way he looked at her, the way he held her—she knew that this moment would be one she would remember forever.
As the song neared its end, Dhruv slowly pulled her closer, his face just inches from hers. "Shanaya," he said softly, his voice filled with emotion, "Mujhe pata hai ki yeh sab unexpected hoga tumhare liye... par main tumhe batana chahta hoon ki... tum meri zindagi ka sabse important hissa ban gayi ho."
Shanaya’s breath caught in her throat as she listened to his words. Her heart raced, and she could barely contain the emotions bubbling inside her.
"Main tumhare bina apni zindagi imagine nahi kar sakta," Dhruv continued, his eyes locking onto hers. "Tum meri zindagi mein woh rang leke aayi ho jo kabhi tha hi nahi. Aur main chahta hoon ki yeh rang kabhi na jaaye."
Shanaya could feel tears welling up in her eyes as she realized what was happening. This wasn’t just any evening. This was the evening.
Dhruv slowly dropped to one knee, pulling out a small velvet box from his pocket. As he opened it, the soft light caught the diamond ring inside, making it sparkle brilliantly.
"Shanaya Oberoi," Dhruv said, his voice shaking slightly as he looked up at her. "Will you marry me?"
For a moment, Shanaya was speechless. Her heart was racing, her mind spinning, but in the middle of all the emotions, there was only one answer.
"Haan, Dhruv," she whispered, tears streaming down her face as she smiled. "Hamesha ke liye haan."
Dhruv stood up, sliding the ring onto her finger, and as soon as he did, Shanaya flung her arms around him, pulling him into a tight embrace.

Later That Night
After the excitement of the proposal, they spent the rest of the evening with Niyati and Rahil, celebrating and laughing together. It was a night filled with love, joy, and happiness, and as they sat together, Dhruv and Shanaya knew that this was just the beginning of their forever.
"Main tumhara hamesha saath dunga," Dhruv whispered to Shanaya as they sat outside on the balcony, watching the stars.
Shanaya smiled, resting her head on his shoulder. "Aur main bhi, Dhruv. Tum ho toh sab kuch perfect hai."
They shared a soft kiss under the stars, knowing that their love, though unexpected, was the kind of love that would last a lifetime.
"Khuda jaane... ye kaisa hai nasha..."
The song played softly in the background, wrapping their perfect moment in a melody that would forever remind them of the night they promised their hearts to one another.
