Dipper's voice cracked as he gasped.
"Mabel?" He whispered, then tried shaking her awake. "Mabel!" He cried, leaning down on her and trying to wake her from death.
"I said I could help, ya kid, you just have to follow out my demands," Bill said, offering his hand down to Dipper. It was burning with the blue fire it normally does when he's ready to make a deal. "Tick tock, kid."
"Fine, for Mabel," Dipper proclaimed. He didn't care what Bill wanted. Dipper just wanted his sister to be alive. If Mabel stayed dead he didn't know what he would do. Dipper grabbed Bill's hand and shook it.
"Nice choice kid," Bill said, pulling Dipper out of his body as Mabel's eyes fluttered open. She took a deep breath.
"Mabel!" Dipper shouted.
"Dipper!" Mabel shouted back, but not to Dipper. Dipper flew to her for a hug, but sank into the bed since he was practically a ghost. She hugged Bill instead.
"Mabel, that's not me!" Dipper yelled. Then he remembered, Bill's old words echoed in his ears 'You can't be heard without a vessel.' Dipper frowned. "That's not me..."
Dipper watched as Bill helped Mabel up from the hospital bed. Mabel laughed as she grabbed Bill's hand and ran out the door with him. Dipper flew down the hallways after them. He saw doctors and nurses chasing after them, yelling: "you're supposed to be dying!"
They jumped on Gruncle Stan.
"Mush, Gruncle Stan! Mush!" Mabel yelled, as she sat on his shoulders. Stan grabbed Bill and began running towards the door.
"You didn't even pay the medical bill!" The lady at the front desk said as they began running towards her.
"Not today!" Stan yelled, throwing one of his smoke bombs and running out of the hospital.
"Woohoo!" Mabel screamed as they ran to the car and all got in.
"Let's move!" Stan yelled as he started the car and drove right into the sign of the hospital, backed up, and drove away.
Dipper followed close by the car. What did Bill want? He wouldn't save Mabel just so that he could hang out in Dipper's body. There must be a reason.
Dipper leaned closely by the car to listen what they were saying."So, Dipper, aren't you at the least concerned on how your sister is alive?" Stan asked. "Isn't that like your area of expertise? Weird creepy stuff?"
"I'm just gonna let a good thing be, ya know?" Bill replied.
As they raced home, of course Stan ignoring the speed limit, they reached the Shack before it even opened. As they all exited the car, Dipper followed close behind Bill. What could he be up to?
Soos was waiting at the front door f the Shack. He had a balloon and flowers.
"Dudes, I can't believe Mabel survived!" He exclaimed, picking up Mabel and putting her on his shoulders. He handed her the balloon and the flowers.
"Aw thanks, Soos," Mabel thanked him. "I don't understand, one moment I'm falling out of a golf cart, certainty of death, the next moment I'm here alive and well. Not a scratch on me. It's a miracle!"
"Hey, Soos," Bill said. "Wanna hear the exact time and date of your death?" Bill laughed and made eye contact with Dipper.
Dipper pointed at himself and then put his finger over his throat and made a slicing motion, and finally pointed at Bill. Bill looked surprised. He returned the same motions to Dipper. Dipper stuck his tongue out at Bill.
"Well since Mabel's fine, I guess you can rehire Wendy, right?" Soos asked Stan.
"Well..."
Soos and Mabel both made puppy eyes at Stan. Wendy was really needed at the Mystery Shack.
"Fine," Stan decided. "Call her your. Tell her she's needed like, what time is it?"
"9:58 am, Mr. Pines," Soos answered.
"Tell her she's needed right now," Stan said.
"As for you, Dipper," Stan began. "I need you to go out back and put this in the garbage," Stan aid, handing Bill a stack of papers Stan filled out at the hospital.
"Sure thing, Stan," Bill said sarcastically with a smile.
Dipper followed Bill around the Shack until they reached the back where there were trash cans and recycling bins. Bill opened the top of the trash can and dumped all the paper inside it. He brushed off his hands and turned around to see Dipper face to face.
"Bill!"
"Ah!" Bill screamed. Then laughed. "You crack me up, Pinetree."
"What are you doing?" Dipper asked.
"Throwing these stupid papers away for your uncle," Bill replied.
"Look, Bill," Dipper said, but then heard someone coming. It was Mabel.
"Hey Bro bro, what's up?" Mabel asked, approaching Bill.
"Oh nothing, sis, just tossing those papers for Stan," Bill replied.
Then Soos appeared from the corner of the Shack.
"Hey dude, we're going to Pizza Palace later for lunch. You wanna come?" Soos asked.
"Sure sounds great," Bill smiled his evil, twisted smile.
Soos and Mabel walked away with Bill by their sides. Dipper followed close behind when suddenly, Bill tripped and fell flat on his face.
"Dipper! Are you okay, bro bro?" Mabel asked, helping him up.
"Oh yeah, sure I'm fine, totally fine," Bill said.
Something was going on the Dipper couldn't see. He needed to get behind whatever Bill was up to, and fast. Then it hit him: the Journal.
