As Dipper could feel his eyes slowly closing, Bill took over and totally jerked Dipper awake. Bill laughed as Dipper winced inside his mind.
"Kid, you're hilarious, you know that?" Bill said.
"Dipper!" Shouted a familiar voice from downstairs.
It was Wendy.
"Bill, whatever you do, don't do anything to her!" Dipper shouted as his vision was blocked out. Dipper had no control whatsoever and couldn't see or hear what was going on.
Dipper continued screaming in his head. But Bill was ignoring him.
"Hey, Red, what's up?" Bill said as he jumped off of the last step on the stairs.
"I was wondering if you still had my shirt I lent you last night?" Wendy said.
"Oh yeah..." Bill said. "Let me go get it."
Bill ran back up the stairs and grabbed Wendy's shirt from off of the back of Dipper's chair.
"Hm..." Bill said to himself, looking around trying to find the finishing touch. He spotted them on a desk with bookshelves by it. "Bingo."
He walked over and saw Dipper's failed love notes he wrote for Wendy and never gave them to her.
He grabbed a perfect one for the job. It was a drawing of Dipper and Wendy holding hands and there were a lot of hearts drawn around them. In the corner of the page Mabel had drawn a cat shooting lasers at Dipper. To make sure that this was the right girl, he closed his eyes and searched Dipper's mind. There were memories of him and Wendy everywhere. It was obvious: he liked her.
"Perfect." Bill smiled and ran down the stairs again.
"Here you go," Bill said, tossing Wendy the shirt, and then let Dipper take over again.
"Bill, what did you do?!" He asked Bill.
Dipper watched as Wendy unfolded the shirt and a wrinkled piece of paper fell out.
"Hey, is this yours?" Wendy asked, looking at the picture. "Did you draw this?"
Dipper panicked. It was the picture that he drew of him and Wendy and Mabel added her own weirdness to it.
"Uh... Mabel did. She must have stuffed it in there..." Dipper said as Wendy handed him the picture.
"Well thanks," Wendy said, putting her shirt over her white tank top and walking away.
"Wait!" Dipper said as Bill took over again. Bill now had control over his mouth. "Wendy I like you."
"I like you too, Dipper," Wendy smiled.
"No I mean I'm madly in love with you. I have like a bazillion drawings of you and me and also I haven't washed my hat since I let you wear it and you gave it back," Bill said all so quick Dipper didn't have a chance to stop it.
"That's really nice, Dipper but, I'm like way too old for you," Wendy said, backing up.
"Wendy this isn't me!" Dipper managed to say. "Yeah it is. Now let's go on a date!" Bill said as he grabbed Wendy's arm.
"What are you doing?" Wendy cried. "Dipper are you okay?"
Bill left and let Dipper take over as Wendy yanked her arm away and Dipper fell over.
"Wendy!" Dipper said as Wendy looked terrified. "That wasn't me..." He whispered to himself as Wendy ran away from him. "Wait, Wendy."
Wendy turned around and looked at him.
"Whatever you do, please stay away from me... I don't... I don't want... I don't want him to hurt you," Dipper said, trying not to cry.
"Him?" Wendy asked. "Dipper if this has to do with the journal I can help you," Wendy offered, walking back over to him and patting his back.
"No it doesn't... You can't help, just go," Dipper said, running back up the stairs and slamming the door to the attic.
He couldn't believe what Bill did.
"Bill what the heck was that for? Any chances I had with even a friendship with Wendy is now ruined. I'm gonna be like Robbi!" Dipper yelled.
"Look, kid, it's obvious she doesn't care. Nobody cares. Look at you, you look like you're a crazy person. They don't even take a second glance and try to help you," Bill said.
Bill was right. If they really cared they would've believed him. They would've helped him. Taunting voices of Stan and Mabel began ringing in his head "go back to bed" and "you're funny". Maybe Bill was right. It'll all be better when they're out of the way... Dipper thought. No. That's what Bill want me to think.
"No, Pinetree, it's what you need to think," Bill said.
"Bill! Get out of my head!" Dipper screamed. "I can't do this anymore. My family thinks I'm crazy. And it's only been one full day! Why me?"
"I think you know why," Bill said with a hint in his voice.
Dipper knew exactly what it was. He needed to destroy it. It would keep Bill from destroying him first. Maybe if he destroyed it for Bill he would let Dipper go before he could cause anymore damage to his brain and to his family. He needed to destroy the one thing he basically dedicated his summer to. The one thing he spent most of his time sticking his nose into. The one thing he thought he couldn't live without.
Dipper needed to destroy the journal. It was his only hope of keeping Bill away. And it was all worth it.
