Wendy held the silver mirror in front of her, her legs were shaking with fear. She remembered reading in the journal with Dipper about silver mirrors, and how they could stop ghosts. So why not do it to Bill?
"Wendy! How long have you been standing outside there?" Stan asked.
"Listen, guys, Dipper was right about being possessed, look at this!" Wendy said, holding up a wrinkled piece of paper.
"It's just a bunch of scribbles," Stan grunted.
"No, look," Wendy said, holding a black light to the page. It was Dipper's note that he wrote way before anything happened.
"He was telling the truth!" Mabel said.
"And we called him insane... No wonder he tried to kill me..." Stan said.
"That's right, Stan, he did do that, didn't he? It's a good thing he's dead, then, right?"
Wendy was angry. Not only did he try to take over Dipper, but he killed him. He killed him. Wendy held the mirror in front of Bill.
"Oh, come on, kid, that thing can't stop me. Not while I'm in this kid's body," Bill said.
"We can stop you!" Mabel said.
"Stop me? Pinetree invited me," Bill said.
"What?" Everyone said at once.
"What do you mean?" Stan asked.
"You see, when someone's loved one, or someone's loved ones falls out of a golf cart 50 feet in the air and has a death sentence and the other has to move away, that someone can feel...under pressure," Bill said.
"So you set the whole thing up?" Mabel asked. "Just for the dumb journals?"
"Well not exactly, Pinetree was an optional part. He just made it 10 times more fun!" Bill laughed, then his hands were lit with a blue flame. "But now the fun is over. Hand over the journals, Stan."
Stan looked at the ground, and then to Wendy. He still hadn't told the kids about his secret life. About the journals. And he couldn't give it all up now, not when he was so close.
"Fine," Stan decided. "I just need to go get them."
"All's fine with me," Bill said, leaning on the wall staring at Dipper's hand.
"On one condition," Stan said, before leaving the room to go get the journals.
"And what would that be? You want a bazillion dollars? You want Gideon's face wiped from the planet? Do you want your nose-picking nerd brother back?"
"No, I want Dipper back."
"Oh, what a brave soul," Bill said. "Okay, so do we have a deal?" Bill asked, holding Dipper's burnt, blistered hand out, it was burning with the blue fire that Bill's hands do.
"Yeah, yeah, just let me go get the journals," Stan said, ignoring the handshake.
Stan walked passed Bill and out the door. He went alone to the vending machine and entered the code. The vending machine moved aside and allowed Stan to go down to his lab which no one except him knew about. Stan searched the shelves and pulled out the two journals. Journal 1#, the one his brother gave him before he slipped away into the dimension sucking portal, and Journal #2, which he stole from Gideon. He would have all 3, if somebody didn't throw it into a raging fire pit. Then it hit Stan. Bill was going to destroy the journals. Then Stan thought of a plan. It was only a plan Stan could think up. Stan's years at cheating people out and scamming them of their money to see fake paranormal things at the Shack were finally going to save someone's life. And even his own life, because Stan didn't know what he'd do without the kids.
Okay sorry that was a petty short chapter but anyways, I'll publish the next chapter maybe tomorrow :) hope that whoever is reading this is enjoying it! In the next chapter I won't explain what Stan did, it's just going to start with him walking back into his room and handing over the journals. You'll find out at the end of the book what he did! Until then, stay tuned! I'll try to keep this book updated, and when it's finished maybe I'll write another gravity falls fanfic. I'm going on a trip and most likely (hopefully I will) but I might not have internet so I won't be able to keep posting more chapters during the week so hopefully the next chapter isn't cliff hanger... *evil laughter*
