It was hot outside, as usual. And Stan had loads of paperwork and bills to pay, as usual. What better way to kill time and bills than to have a bonfire? Stan invited everyone, well by everyone, just Wendy and Soos. Dipper put his jacket on because he didn't want to get a trillion mosquito bites again. Underneath he held his journal. Journal #3. He had to get rid of it before Bill did something dangerous. And what better way to do that than to throw it into a gigantic bonfire? Dipper was walking out of the attic when he felt something slip out from the journal. He looked back. It was just a page with a bunch of scribbles on it. Dipper shrugged and continued walking. It had been a while since Bill even made an acknowledgement that he was there. Not even a "Hey kid wanna hear a joke?" Or "I'm gonna win." Dipper thought that was strange, but he was happy and would rather not have the evil mind demon bugging him.

When Dipper reached the bottom of the stairs he got weird glances from Wendy. She kind of avoided him, and Dipper knew exactly why. Mabel and Soos were the only ones who weren't acting like they hated Dipper's guts. Dipper didn't even do anything to Stan, but Stan must've been around when he scared Wendy.

Dipper's cheeks turned red and pulled his hat over hit face as he walked outside. It was dark and the mosquitos were out. Dipper walked beside where all the logs were set up around a huge pile of papers. He took the journal from his jacket and looked at it. Everything he worked for was about to get burnt to a crisp. He looked at it one last time before putting it in the pile of things that was about to get burned when he heard footsteps behind him.

"Hey, Dipper."

It was Wendy. Dipper didn't know how to talk to her after what happened.

"Dipper, I just wanted to say, I know what happened yesterday was crazy... You weren't yourself-"

"Yeah I know and I'm sorry. But anyways like I said yesterday, stay away from me. I don't want him to hurt you," Dipper said.

"You're not making sense, are you talking in third person or something?" Wendy asked, and then noticed Dipper had the journal in the perfect position to drop it in the pile of things to burn. "Is that the journal?"

"Wendy, you have to understand. Well I don't think you'll believe me, but there's a monster inside me. He's after the journal. He can control me however he wants. If I act crazy or stupid, it's not me," Dipper managed to say before everyone got outside.

"I-I believe you Dipper... But I don't think I believe you 100%..." Wendy said as Soos and Mabel plopped down on the log next to Dipper and Wendy followed by Stan with a box of matches and a gallon of gasoline.

"Let's light this baby," Stan announced, as he poured gasoline all over the papers. "Burn baby burn!" He said, as he proceeded to throw lit matches into the pile and it lit up in flames. The fire was huge, almost as tall as Soos.

Dipper winced as he once again drew near to the fire and held the journal out in front of it.

"Dipper, what are you doing?" Wendy gasped.

"It's for the best," Dipper said, as he dropped the journal into the fire and it burnt up, just like all of the papers and bills were.

"Dude!" Soos shouted, jumping up from the log with Mabel on his back. "Why'd you do that? That was like your whole life!"

"It's complicated," Dipper said as Bill took over. "And so is this," Bill said, as he stuck his hand into the fire and grabbed the journal. He laughed as he did so, making it terrifying to watch.

Wendy, Soos, Mabel, and Stan stared in horror as Dipper's hand burnt and blisters formed on it.

"Haha! Pain is hilarious!" Bill shouted and then gave Dipper control again, and he fell to the ground beside the fire, the burnt journal in his hand.

"Dipper!" Dipper heard everyone shouting his name and whispering stuff to him. He didn't want to open his eyes. He didn't want to talk. He didn't want to move. He just wanted to die. He couldn't take it anymore. Thanks to Bill he probably had third degree burns all over his arm.

"Dipper!" Wendy said, picking him up and shaking him. "Dipper! Dude! Wake up!"

Dipper refused to. What if this was Bill's way of destroying him? What if Bill never left? But why did he even try saving the journal? Was it just to hurt Dipper? Dipper used the lower he still had left to throw what was left of the journal inside the fire, where it was destroyed and couldn't be pulled out again. Dipper felt a tear rolling down his cheek. If his family didn't realize there was something wrong with him, maybe they should be gotten out of the way...
