With the team running scared Billy is all out of options and he and hughie go to find a plan B , to set up the plan to take out homelander . The team is kidnapped. But Billy and Hughie go to mallory for help but she won't help them. Soon Billy is forced to turn to Johnny.
Look lad I know you don't want to do this but, you're my only option right now . Johnny signs ." Why should I help you I'm just a dumb kid remember?" Billy signs . " look I'm sorry for saying that , I just want you be safe you and your Mum were my world and when she died, I know I became a shitty dad and you were left to grow without us but, please I need you're help .
Johnny signs. "What's the plan ?" Billy s smiles." We have to rescue my team and step 2 we'll figure it out ." They set out . Hughie meets Annie at the church ." I remember you telling me you like to come here to listen to the choir rehearse, so I , I figured I'd take a shot ." Annie frowns . You've got a lot of balls." Hughie chuckles." Just two." Annie rolls her eyes. I mean, you must want me to arrest you ."
Hughie leans forward . "Actually, uh..., I need your help ." She gets up and walks out . Hughie follows her pleading with her ." Please just listen to me." Amnie keeps walking . "Why more awful secrets you wanna tell me, more drugs I was dosed with as a kid maybe? "Hughie apologizes look I'm sorry that just came out , I thought maybe you wanted to know the truth."
Annie scoffs ." Oh ...ok so you're about the truth." Hughie responds." Vought is giving Compound V to some bad fucking people, like really bad . "Annie speaks . "That's insane." Hughie shrugs." No, it's true. Look my friends want to stop it , but they got caught, on Vought's orders, and I, figured, because you had security clearance maybe you could help find them.
Anmie looks around and opens her mouth. "Hughie, I was just almost arrested just for knowing you. I had to convince them that I was an idiot that you threw out . And you used , and now you want me to help your psycho killer friends?"
Hughie laughs nervously ." When you put it like that ..." Annie gets pissed . "You have 30 seconds to get the hell out of here ." Hughie apologizes for bothering her and walks away. "I mean why the hell would I ever help you ?" Hughie replies. " because Vought up to some evil shit, it's your job and because you're a superhero?"
Annie has a blank stare." Really ? I can't remember the last time I saved any one." Hughie responds ." You saved me . ""When did I ever save you ?" Hughie talks about the bowling alley and how was lost after his girlfriend's death. She shakes her head ." I did'nt sve you that's just being there,and the thing is ...I don't care ."
Billy and Johnny stakeout the party at Vought. Johnny leaves after Hughie gets himself captured. He shows up at the facility and make easy works of the guards. They get kumiko .Starlight shows up and helps. Johnny turns to Hughie . He mouths . "You're an idiot ." Hughie shrugs . " Yeah I know . " The boys thank johnny . He flies off. Starlight gets the team to safety.
He stops at jade's apartment . She's wearing pj's and reading a book. He signs to her ." If you don't hear from me give this to my Dad and the F.B.I". Jade looks at him." What are you on about ?" Johnny lookks at her . "My Dad wants me to confront Homelander and Stillwell with him he needs me ." Jade tears up." I need you...we need you." She rubs her stomach.
Johnny nods ." I'm gonna make sure no one hurt us ever again okay?" She nods . "Ok , please come back to me." Johnny kisses her and hugs her and turns to leave but stops and signs . "I love you , how did I get so lucky ." Jade laughs. "Same ." Johnny kneels. "My Mom told me one day that I will find someone that loves me ...it's you will you marry me ?" He pulls out a ring
Jade nods and answers." Yes!!" They kiss and embrace jade looks at him with a curious expression." How did you get this ?" Johnny signs . "My Mom left it for me as an inheritance." Jade just kisses him. And johnny flies off to help Billy .
