My grandfather took me to Disneyland today! It was so fun best 2 weeks later birthday present! Grandpa said he couldn't take me on the day of my birthday because he had to deal with some personal issues.
"I loved the jurassic world ride, can we ride it again?" Grandpa chuckles at that
"If we do you will miss the frozen play that you wanted to go to."
"I almost forgot about the play, I don't wanna miss a second of it! C'mon grandpa let's go!"
Grandpa dosed off during the play but I didn't mind grandpa being here with me makes me so happy. Mom and Dad are always at work and never spend any time with me, I love them but it hurts. They gave me a postcard and cash for my birthday, I asked them if they could get me a dog or cat for my birthday. Grandpa got me one though so I wasn't that sad about it.
*1 year later*
I'm 8 now, grandpa sent me a gift but my mother threw it away saying
"I don't want you talking or even thinking about that man Liasha. Do you understand?"
"What did grandpa do?"
"It doesn't matter what he did, just tell me you won't talk about or to him!"
I promised her I wouldn't to make her happy but I really miss grandpa, I miss his hugs and the way he would always cook me dinner even if he had work. I hope I see him again soon.
*3 years later*
Today's my first day of Middle School. Grandpa and Dad aren't here to see it and mom still won't let me see grandpa, dad is always working overseas so just like when I was younger I don't see him often. Mom got a job that allows her to work from home. I have a best friend named Melissa Pyrodae I met her last year and we have been friends since. My mom gave birth to my little brother Lorenzo, he's 1 now.
"Hey Melissa, since your going to California for your sisters birthday can you drop off a letter to my grandpa while your there?" I miss talking to my grandpa so much.
"you sure your mother won't find out?"
"I would hope not."
Melissa says she will drop it off but she tells me he might not even live in the same house, I know she is only telling me this because she doesn't want me to get my hopes up and get upset if I don't get a response. I assure her I will be fine either way. Maybe one day I can see him again.
