You were bored in your apartment on South Padre Island, close to the beach. Besides playing, watching videos, and dancing on your small 10 square meters, you weren't doing much.

You had already finished and sent your article to the editor of National Geographic and was waiting for your next writing subject assignment.

Of course, you could go swimming, but you just didn't feel like it.

After another ten minutes of boredom, you decided that at least swimming would pass the time.

You packed two towels, sunglasses, slipped on your sandals, took the elevator to the 1st floor, and jumped the last 2.5 meters out of the window, landing softly on the sand that stretched inland from the beach.

You walked the few hundred meters of sand that separated you from the Atlantic Ocean.

Upon arriving, you placed your bag down, laid out your towel, and, with another towel around your waist, dipped one foot into the water, then the other, and slowly entered the ocean.

As soon as your feet no longer touched the bottom, you wrapped the towel around her arm, and immediately afterward, a large fish tail was splashing beneath you. You remembered, smiling, the time you had ripped a one-piece swimsuit that way.

You dove and began to swim somewhat aimlessly, though much faster than a human could.

You then descended towards the ocean floor, quickly arriving at an untouched coral reef.

While admiring the colorful scene, you suddenly heard a deep cry. You swam toward the sound and saw a whale followed by her calf, which made you exclaim in amazement, "Oooh...!" at how adorable the family scene was.

After about an hour of exploration, you resurfaced but couldn't see the shore anymore. However, a small pleasure boat was floating a few meters away.

You approached the boat and called out to its occupant, who was busy mending nets.

- "Hello, sir, which way is the shore, please?"

- "Head east; you can't miss it," he answered without turning around, pointing his arm in the direction.

- "Thanks, have a good day!"

- "Same to you," the man replied, before realizing he was alone on his boat. When he turned around, he saw no one, causing him to question his drinking habits.

A few minutes later, you reached the shore, wrapped the towel around your waist, and as soon as your fins touched dry land, they transformed back into two human legs.

After drying off and slipping into a t-shirt, you laid down on the beach.

Eventually, your phone vibrated in your bag. You checked it and saw a message from your friend Madison, who lived in Los Angeles.

Maddie: Heyy (y/n), how are ya doing ? I found a lo-fi metal band, and they're just amazing. Pure virtuosos. Plus, their style is so cool!
They're called Polyphia, and I recommend starting with GOAT, Playing God, and Ego Death.
Enjoy!

Me: Heyy, okay, I'll listen to it right now!

You opened Spotify, turned on the speaker, started Playing God, and closed your eyes.

Immediately, a cascade of light notes from an acoustic guitar, followed by an electric guitar with a crystalline sound, fell like a waterfall, supported by a solid bass connecting with the drums, which soared and descended, all in a relaxing and groovy atmosphere.

You savored each moment offered by the band's various songs.

Carried away by the music, you stood up and started dancing on the beach, improvising movements to the exotic guitars, as the sun set over the ocean and beach.

It was the darkness that eventually brought the dance to a stop, and not being Cat Noir, you decided to head home.

(A/N : yep, don't judge my references, okay...)

Once in your apartment, you collapsed onto your bed and quickly fell asleep.
