When He woke up early, around seven, Tim felt rested. He went downstairs to the dining room and served himself some cereal.
Then he went back up to his bathroom and fixed his hair and makeup. He decided on a slightly pink, very beige lip gloss.
Feeling in a good mood, he decided to prepare breakfast for his three friends.
He put on an apron and started baking some small cakes. He had just finished when Scott walked into the dining room, accompanied by Aesh.
The drummer and guitarist were pleasantly surprised by their friend's surprise.
- "Is there a birthday we missed or something ?" asked Aesh.
- " Nah, just my good mood," replied Tim.
- "Well, it's delicious, anyway," complimented Scott, gesturing to the cake he was eating.
- "I wouldn't want to eat here when he's angry," joked Aesh to Scott, laughing.
- "I heard that," Tim said from the kitchen.
The trio was soon joined by the Clay, the bassist.
To differentiate between the two Clays, the band had gotten into the habit of calling the drummer "Aesh," short for his last name, Aeshliman.
Once everyone was gathered, Tim spoke:
- "Guys, I don't know about you, but my creativity has hit zero lately. I can't come up with good ideas, good riffs. You know what I mean?"
- "To be honest, I was afraid to bring it up, but yeah, same here. Nothing's coming," Scott replied. "I was hoping you would save the day," he added with a half-laugh.
- "Same for me too, and I think you feel the same, Aesh?" Clay asked.
The drummer nodded, pinching his lips.
Seeing that no one was able to create, Tim declared:
- "I suggest we take a break, relax, and recharge. Some time off, away from the studio and work. And if we play, it's just for fun, not to produce an album. Are you all in?"
They were.
- "But do you know where we'd go?" asked Aesh.
- "Not yet. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears."
- "Well, my cousin mentioned a spot in Texas, right by the sea, and he's coming back the day after tomorrow. We could rent the house from him for a while. I don't think he'd mind," Scott suggested.
- "Sounds like a good idea. What do you guys think?" asked Clay.
- "It does sound nice," Tim agreed. "So, we're doing this? We have today and tomorrow to prepare."
