Vidhyut 's pov .
I must appreciate her; if I hadn't gone there, I would never have known this side of my wife. At first, I saw her confidence falter when she saw me, but later she explained everything properly.
I woke up and wore my usual black T-shirt and lower, as I do every Saturday and Sunday for family time—it's my mom's rule, and no one can go against her.
I went downstairs and saw my wife laughing with our baby. She was wearing a beautiful crop top and loose pants. I went towards them, sat next to her, and looked at the baby.
"You spend more time with her than with me," Vidhi said, teasing.
"Of course, I adore my baby!" Ruhi replied. I smiled hearing her. That's when my mom came and dropped the bombshell.
"So, today is Saturday, and you, Vidhyut, are going to teach her how to cook. We're going to the mall, and we expect dinner ready by the evening."
I looked at her in disbelief, then noticed Ruhi smiling.
After they left, Ruhi was busy looking for recipes.
"Look, Vidhyut! Let's make this one," she said, showing me her phone.
"And this one too!" God, this girl was testing my patience. I glared at her, but she shrugged it off and continued browsing.
"Okay, let's go," I said, putting my laptop on the table. I walked into the kitchen with her and said, "You're not going to touch anything unless I ask you to. Just watch and observe." She nodded like a kid.
"What do you want to make?" I asked.
"Umm... Makhana curry, roti, fried dal, rice, and kheer," she said, licking her lower lip, which I found very tempting.
"Alright, just wait." I started looking for the makhana.
"What are you looking for?" she asked.
"Makhana," I said, bending down to search.
"Here," she said, handing me a packet of makhana. I took it, tore it open, and started frying them. She grabbed a handful and began munching.
"Are you here to learn cooking or to eat?" I asked, half amused.
"Teach me cooking; I already know how to eat!" she said with a cheeky smile. God, she's unbelievable.
I began frying the makhana when she bent down to take a closer look. I quickly pulled her back.
"Don't bend like that, or you'll burn yourself. Just watch and observe," I reminded her. She nodded again, but I knew she wouldn’t stay still for long.
After frying the makhana, I started working on the gravy, when I saw her about to touch a hot pan.
"Ruhi!" I called out, but it was too late; she had already touched the pan.
"Ahhh," she cried. I rushed over and took her to the sink.
"Ruhi, are you a child? How many times have I told you not to touch hot things?" I scolded her while rubbing her fingers under the cold water.
As I held her waist, my hand brushed against her bare skin. I saw her shiver and blush. Maybe it was my touch. I lifted her onto the counter and said, "You're not moving from here."
She nodded quietly. I took her hand, blew on it gently, and said, "Don’t worry, it’s not that bad. Just don’t rub it, okay?"
She nodded again, like a little kid. I had to control myself from kissing her right there.
After I finished cooking, I reached for the salt.
"Please, let me do this," she said. I nodded, and she sprinkled the salt. Afterward, she climbed down and went outside. I turned off the stove and followed her, only to find her sleeping on the sofa.
I picked her up and carried her to our room, placing her gently on the bed. She looked so cute; I kissed her forehead. I was shocked at myself for doing that. I quickly backed away and left to work on my laptop.
A few hours later, I got a call from my dad saying they had reached. I nodded and continued working. Ruhi came down, rubbing her eyes. She looked adorable. I shook off my thoughts and said, "They’ve arrived."
I saw her expression change as she quickly turned around and ran back to the room, probably to wash her face. A little later, she returned, tying her hair, and it was incredibly tempting. Her crop top exposed her navel, and I realized I might need to take a cold shower soon. This girl was driving me crazy.
I took a bath just as they arrived. I saw Ruhi eating ice cream.
We served the food, and everyone started complimenting us. Then Ruhi chimed in proudly, "Mumma, today I made the food."
I couldn’t resist adding, "Putting salt in the dish doesn’t mean you cooked, madam."
She glared at me, but I just smiled. Then we completed our dinner and everyone went to garden to talk and share some memories I saw ruhi was listening them with all her happiness.
It was my best day may be if she were not his daughter so maybe i started loving her .
