Sasha worked in silence, tapping away at her laptop as her co-workers conversated. Haein wasn't a difficult boss, he believed in social interactions especially in the tough workplace life in South Korea, so usually most of the time everyone wasn't doing anything.

Sasha couldn't help but think of her new husband whom she only had a day of meeting. She couldn't help but be so embarassed that she had to find someone through a website knowing she could never do it in real life. Thank God Haein will never find out.

Just a year, then afterwards Sasha will divorce her husband over "personality differences" .

Sasha soon saw a RENT A HUSBAND email pop up on her laptop and her blood went cold, hiding it immediately. Sasha looked around to see her co-workers were not looking in her direction too engrossed in their gossip session. Sasha sighed in relief taking a shaky sip of coffee.

At lunch time Sasha, Sooyoung and Nayeon went to the cafe right across from their office block. Sasha took small sips of her ice Americano , listening to Sooyoung and Nayeon.

"Just what will we wear for the wedding?" Nayeon questioned, Sasha shrugged and Sooyoung rubbed her chin in thought.

"I need to go shopping for a new dress, all of my dresses lost it's good quality." Sooyoung said, Sasha rolled her eyes.

"I don't think it's that serious guys." Sasha said as Nayeon and Sooyoung looked at her like she was crazy. "It's very serious girl! Somin's family is loaded from head to toe!" Nayeon exclaimed as Sooyoung nodded in agreement.

"We can't let them think we broke, we have to look good.. I'm gonna make Seonghwa shop for a new suit too." Sooyoung said reaching for her phone and typing on it quickly.

"You two are still together?" Nayeon said excitedly as Sooyoung blushed "Yeah, we're hitting 4 years now." Sooyoung announced as Nayeon gasped. "4 years?! When did y'all start dating?"

"When we were both 22, we're 26 now." Sooyoung said as Nayeon clapped excitedly "That's so cool Sooyoung! You two should get married." Nayeon suggested as Sooyoung chuckled "We should."

Sasha looked at the two girls talk about their successful loving relationships in silence. She defintely could not relate, but that's soon going to change knowing tomorrow she's gonna be a married woman.

The whole day afterwards was a drag, Sasha was in multiple meetings back to back. Surviving on an unhealthy amount of coffee and a ceasar salad in an attempt to lose some weight, her stomach rumbling in obvious hunger Sasha tried to avoid.

Afterwork, Haein treated everyone to Korean BBQ a offer Sasha can't say no too, since he is her boss and also her crush.

The workers sat in two large rows across from each other at the back of the restaurant, pork belly being grilled on two separate grills. Sasha eat a piece of pork belly as her eyes unconsciously landed on Haein who was already looking at her, Sasha tore her gaze away her eyebrows furrowing.

"I can't wait to see you guys at my wedding." Haein said as everyone nodded "Of course sir, we can't wait too." Minseok one of the other workers said. Haein smiled.

"I'm intrigued to see everyone's plus ones." Haein said looking at Sasha who was successfully avoiding eye contact eating some pork belly with rice. "Don't worry sir we won't disappoint." Nayeon said this time as Haein nodded, standing up.

"I'll leave you guys to it, i must get going." Haein announced as everyone looked at him. "See you guys tomorrow, don't get too drunk." Baein joked as everyone laughed excluding Sasha.

Haein left as the workers started to speak amongst themselves. Sasha eating her food bored, the talk of Haein's upcoming wedding was both annoying and suffocating. It can't be that important.

"Guys it's just a wedding." Sasha said scoffing as Minseok shook his head "The wedding of the century! This will be the biggest wedding i will ever go to!" Minseok said as Sasha rolled her eyes.

When she finally got home, Sasha took off her clothes changing into her pyjamas and putting a bonnet over her afro. She needed to rewind, every single time she came back from work, alone and romantically unfufilled.

Ordering a ice coffee through the delivery services on her app, Sasha sat down on her couch sighing loudly. It seems like her days at work these past few days have seemed to get worse.

Sasha heard her phone ring standing up and retrieving it from her charger, she saw her mother calling and sighed loudly. She was defintely not in the mood for her.

"Hello mama?" Sasha said as she heard her mother walked someone before answering.

"Sasha mon bebe! Happy late birthday i couldn't reach you all day yesterday!" Her mother scolded as Sasha walked back to the couch "My phone was off." Sasha said in her thick french, her mother scoffing.

"You're too obsessed with that phone, let it rest and see how beneficial it will be to you." Her mother complained as Sasha rolled her eyes "Of course mama." Sasha replied as her mother hummed.

There was a brief silence over the phone before her mother spoke up again. "So where is my son in law?" Her mother said as Sasha rubbed her eyes in defeat.

Her mother has been on her neck every since she became an adult and it's just gotten worst as the years went by.

"Mama, I'm busy at work." Sasha uttered, her usual excuse. Her mother scoffed.

"That doesn't stop you from going on dates! Do you want to be alone your whole life? You know you only have a couple of years left to have children, there's not enough time anymore!" Her mother scolded as Sasha suddenly felt the urge to expose RENT A HUSBAND to her mother who continued on with her rant.

"If Solomon and Samson got married before you and they are men what is possibly stopping you from finally commiting? I do not care if it is a Korean boy i told you that Sasha, don't hold back anymore you're running out of time!" A creeping headache was developing in Sasha's head as her jaw clenched. Once her mother started, she didn't stop.

"Do you not want children? I told you I'll never be satisfied with two grandchildren, i want my only daughter to give me grandchildren, is that too much to ask?" Her mother said and that's when Sasha finally lost it.

"I'm getting married mama!" Sasha screamed out, regret immediately filling her up.

"What?-"

Cutting the phone, Sasha put her hands in her face.
