Wooyoung woke up first that saturday morning, the summer sun radiating through their shared bedroom. Squinting his eyes to adjust to the light, Wooyoung sat up.
Turning his head he saw Sasha next to him, hugging her pillow close to her body as small sighs left her mouth, her eyes shut as she was still asleep. Wooyoung looked at her smiling softly before standing up.
Leaving the bedroom to enter the kitchen, Wooyoung noticed her apartment wasn't too big it was easy for him to navigate his way around. Looking around, Wooyoung saw the walls plain which still made him dissatisfied.
"We need more photos on the wall at least." Wooyoung said to himself, putting his hands on his hips. His eye caught the kitchen walking over there.
Sasha woke up to the sound of frying and plates clattering in the kitchen, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand tiredly, Sasha sat up looking around her room tiredly as her eyes adjusted to the light.
"Sasha! You're awake?" Wooyoung said as his footsteps grew closer and closer to the door. Opening it up, Sasha saw Wooyoung hold a spatula and wearing her purple Sanrio character apron. Sasha bit back a chuckle as Wooyoung had his hand on his hips.
"Morning Mrs Jung, get up we have to go down to the headquarters for our wedding photoshoot." Wooyoung informed as Sasha groaned laying back down.
"Can't we just go later?" Sasha asked as Wooyoung shook his head approaching her bedside "No I've scheduled us for the morning we should start getting ready." Wooyoung said holding on Sasha's hand as she had her head turned to the side closing her eyes to welcome sleep again.
"Sasha wake up." Wooyoung whined tugging on her hand as Sasha groaned rolling onto the other side, Wooyoung let go of her hand. "Sasha.. please wake up darling." Wooyoung said as Sasha's snapped open. The pet name felt foreign especially directed to her.
Turning around to see Wooyoung still standing in front of her, Sasha chuckled nervously. "Uh.. yeah, what time is the photoshoot?" Sasha said sitting up, Wooyoung was walking out of the room before answering " ten thirty."
Showering felt different now, because Sasha could hear Wooyoung outside her room. Her apartment felt more lively and it was weird to get used to. Once she was done, Sasha chose to change in the bathroom too embarassed to leave the bathroom in her towel to change in her bedroom now shared with Wooyoung.
Once she was done changing, Sasha already saw Wooyoung dressed up and he was dishing up breakfast. "Did you already shower?" Sasha asked, Wooyoung looked up at her grinning "Yeah i usually shower as soon as i wake up..." Wooyoung said pushing Sasha's plate towards her.
"Thank you." Sasha said looking at the plate of pancakes, eggs and bacon. It soon grew silent again. Sasha hated how awkward it got so quickly. She still had a long way before she got used to their fake dynamic.
"Aren't you gonna eat your breakfast?" Wooyoung asked after taking a bite of his own pancake "It's really good i added cinnamon in the pancake batter, try it." Wooyoung encouraged as Sasha nodded.
Taking a small bite, Sasha grinned cutting the pancake in half as she started to dig in. "This is really good! Do you like to cook a lot?" Sasha questioned as Wooyoung chuckled.
"I'm actually in culinary school." Wooyoung stated as Sasha widened her eyes "Oh! Makes sense.." Sasha said a wave of realisation rushing through her.
"So you wanna be a chef?" Sasha questioned and Wooyoung nodded taking a stray bacon directly from Sasha's plate with his fork putting it in his mouth. Sasha looked at him bewildered.
That looked too natural.
"Yeah, basically it was an impulse decision, i actually wanted to be a nurse but my grades were shit so my friends suggested i try culinary since i love to cook." Wooyoung said taking a sip of his coffee.
"How about you? What encouraged you to be an architect?" Wooyoung questioned as Sasha thought hard.
"In all honesty, i wanted to pursue a career that wouldn't have me landing back in France.. i don't like my mother's imposing tendencies at most." Sasha said rolling her eyes, Wooyoung leaned on his chin.
"Imposing tendencies?"
"Yeah, she's very controlling, more like it's in her nature but she doesn't have bad intentions at least to me and my older brothers, but her habit of wanting things done her way pushed me away inevitably." Sasha said taking a long sigh. She's never told anyone that so effortlessly, Wooyoung looked at her sympathetic
"I'm sorry to hear that." Wooyoung said as Sasha shook her head dismissively "Don't be, I've grown used to it." Sasha said causing Wooyoung to frown.
"Even if she has good intentions it's still a toxic trait as a parent. She should see her children as equals, especially you as a daughter." Wooyoung said as Sasha lowered her eyes, her heart pounding from emotion.
Because everything Wooyoung was saying was true and it hurts to know a complete stranger managed to see through her in less than 48 hours unlike Haein who still doesn't know her after 10 years.
"Thanks Wooyoung for saying all that.." Sasha trailed off closing her eyes briefly before opening it up to see Wooyoung looking at her.
"It's fine really." Sasha finished off unable to say anything more. Wooyoung smiled softly before gently grabbing her hand and pressing a small kiss causing Sasha to gasp softly.
"Don't be afraid to rely on me darling, at least for a year." Wooyoung said smiling causing a small smile to grace Sasha's lips.
