Prim stood nearby, watching with tears in her own eyes, her hands trembling as she witnessed the scene unfold before her. The Chief lowered his head in silence, pity etched in his features as he looked at the two of them, knowing that there were no words that could comfort the pain.

Nanon pressed his forehead to Ohm's, his tears soaking into Ohm's hair as he held him close. "I love you, Ohm. Please, please don't leave me," he whispered, his voice breaking.

Ohm's breath hitched, his eyes fluttering closed as the weight of everything pressed down on him. "Nanon... I... love you too," he whispered his voice barely a breath. His hand slipped from Nanon's cheek, falling limp at his side.

Nanon's sobs grew louder, his body shaking as he held Ohm tighter, refusing to let go. "No... Ohm, no..." His cries echoed in the empty ground, filling the silence with a grief so deep.

"We need to get him to the hospital!" Nanon cried out, his voice frantic, a spark of hope burning through his despair as he felt Ohm's heartbeat.

Nanon stood in the brilliantly illuminated operating room, hands still, but heart pounding. Ohm lay on the table, his life slipping away. "Vitals are dropping," a nurse said with urgency. The cardiac monitor beeped steadily slower, each tick a chilling warning that time was running out.

"Scalpel," Nanon ordered, his voice calm but resolute. Sweat gathered on his brow as he carefully extracted the bullet, ignoring the worried glances from the team.

"He's losing too much blood," someone muttered, but Nanon didn't waver. Every move felt personal. He had to bring Ohm back.

"Heart rate still unstable," the nurse said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Nanon's heart sank, but he didn't let it show. He couldn't. Not now. He refused to believe this was the end. Not for Ohm.

"Come on, Ohm," Nanon whispered under his breath. "Stay with me."

His fingers moved nimbly, stitching the wound into place with a sureness born of years of doing the same thing, over and over again. Yet somehow, this was different. This was personal. In his mind's eye, he saw Ohm's smile, how he could be so calm, even under the most extreme situations. Nanon wasn't about to let that light burn out.

The heart monitor sounded its sharp beep again. Then another. The beat spiked in Ohm's chest, and then—

Flatline.

"No!" Nanon's voice cracked as the steady tone of the flatline cut through the room.

"Defibrillator, now!" he shouted, grabbing the paddles. He pressed them to Ohm's chest. "Clear!"

A jolt surged through Ohm's body, but there was no response. Nanon's throat tightened. "Stay with me, Ohm." His voice cracked as he charged the defibrillator again. "Clear!"

Another jolt, and this time—finally—Ohm's heart rate spiked, the monitor beeping back to life.

"He's stabilizing," the attending doctor confirmed.

Nanon felt his body sag with relief, but only for a moment. He couldn't let his guard down until Ohm was truly safe.

Time was ticking away, feeling like hours. The silence was no longer heavy since the heart monitor kept beeping steadily. Ohm's vital signs were still very low, but they were getting better, and Nanon held onto that fragile hope.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Nanon stepped back, pulling off his bloodied gloves. His eyes didn't leave Ohm, who lay unconscious but alive on the table. The worst was over. For now.

The team looked at one another, their faces full of a mix of exhaustion and amazement. Nanon had done it.
