Hinode Atsuki

Some gasped softly, some barely reacted. Everyone turned towards him though. Towards the Master.

The man looked pale and sickly. He wore a plain black kimono secured with a tan braided obi and a long white haori. His haori had a gradient flame design of purple and salmon pink at the base. He had tidy black hair, cut at shoulder length. The top half of his face had a mark that spread below his eyes, causing him to be blind. I knew what this mark was, I'd been told by Master Muzan-sama once.

The Ubuyashiki family had a curse. It was a demon curse that had been passed down in their family for generations. Marks would spread across the person's body, appearing like the flesh was rotting, until it covered them completely and they perished.

It's Kagaya Ubuyashiki. If I get out of this place, I can inform Master Muzan-sama of his location. It was one of Master Muzan-sama's goals. To find the Demon Slayers' headquarters and therefore the Ubuyashiki family. And I was there.

He walked forward from where he had been inside the mansion. "So good of you to come. My beloved children..." he said, voice soft. He sounded so soothing, inviting, and gentle.

The two who had spoken earlier closed the shoji doors behind him and came to his side. They were twins, girls. Both had white bobs with bangs. Each of them had deep purple eyes. Their kimonos had the same floral pattern as the other and tied with a dark pink obi. There were minor differences. The one on the left had a red obijime and hair accessory while the one on the right had green.

Once at his side, they led Ubuyashiki further out on the engawa until he was in the sun. He raised his head to the sky with a kind smile that had been on his face since he came out. "Good morning, everyone," he said while lowering his head from the sky. "The weather is amazingly good today. I wonder if the sky is blue. It pleases me that we've made it to our semiannual Hashira meeting with no personnel changes."

In a flash, flashy had me on the ground again so that I was bowing to Ubuyashiki. I hadn't had a chance to react. My eyes drifted sideways to spot Shinazugawa-san doing the same to Kamado-san but more roughly. Then I noticed that all the Hashiras were kneeling in a line in front of their Master.

I personally don't think this man deserves my respect.

"I am pleased to see you in good health, as well, Master. I fervently pray for your continued good fortune."

"Thank you, Sanemi."

"If I may, Master... Before we start the Hashira meeting, would you mind enlightening us about this swordsman, Kamado Tanjiro, accompanied by a demon? And this girl, Hinode Atsuki, who has been residing with demons until recently?"

"Right. I apologise for startling you all. About Atsuki, Tanjiro and Nezuko... I've sanctioned their situations. And I'd also like you all to accept it."

Everyone, including Kamado-san and myself, looked at Ubuyashiki in surprise. The Hashiras were quick to state their opinions. Most of them were opposed but a few were okay and willing to support his decision.
