Hinode Atsuki

Rui went on to explain the roles in a family and that this Demon Slayer's role was to hand his sister over and vanish. I grabbed Nezuko-san and kept her from making any noise. It wasn't difficult since she was injured.

"I don't like that look in your eyes. Glittering like that... How foolish. Don't tell me... you think you're going to win!"

I took that as my cue to act. With Nezuko-san in my arms, I jumped over the boy so that I was standing with Rui.

"Nezuko!"

I passed her to Rui as he spoke with his threads poised threateningly. "There, I've taken her now. Now do you understand your role?"

"Let her go!"

"But I told you I'd spare your life, at least, if you didn't defy me."

Nezuko-san struggled then tried to scratch Rui's face but I grabbed her wrist before she could touch him. My brother still seemed to think she needed a punishment for attempting to hurt him, not that it would've done much. He hung her between the trees with his threads while attacking the boy who was then distracted and didn't have a chance to stop his sister from getting strung up.

Once the boy dodged the threads, he noticed his sister was no longer in the arms of either Rui or myself. While he was whipping his head around, looking for her, blood dripped onto his katana from above. He looked up to see Nezuko-san's situation. The blood was a result from the threads keeping her suspended which dug painfully into her skin.

"Nezuko!"

"Quiet down. I'm sure that's not enough to kill her. After all, she's a demon. But it looks like I'll have to teach her a lesson after all. I'm going to let her bleed for a while. If she still doesn't learn to be obedient, I'll just leave her like that until sunrise... and let her get scorched a bit."

"You let Nezuko... You let her go!"

The Demon Slayer charged at us but Rui sent attacks to block him. This caused him to go crashing into the ground at our feet. Rui then kicked the boy harshly into a bush before punching him in the face, making him go into the dirt again before standing. At this point he was coughing up a lot of blood and was much more exhausted than earlier.

I didn't bother to step in. My brother could easily handle this child. And on the off chance he wasn't able to, I was ready to protect.

"Look, you... I'm sure I'm mistaken, but... You don't think that if you get close enough to me, you can chop off my head, do you?" Rui casually walked closer till he was right in front of the burgundy haired boy. "Fine by me. Here. Give it a shot."

Rui stood with his arms spread in an "inviting" way. The Slayer angrily attempted to slash Rui but my brother ducked and punched him. 'Burgundy' used the momentum from the punch to swing towards my brother and managed to get his blade to Rui's neck. Despite knowing he wouldn't be able to cut through, which he wasn't, I was still worried for my little brother's safety.

"Didn't I tell you? You have no chance against me."

Rui kicked the boy hard, sending him flying really far until he crashed into something, causing dust to fly.
