Ever since Jiaoqiu confessed to me, I couldn't focus on my work as a guide to him, or I'm not even sure if I should consider myself as a guide anymore now that we're dating. It's been three whole weeks being together, it's such a new feeling warming up inside me.

The compliments he showered me, his comfort, and most importantly how I could hear his fast heart beating. Although we haven't had our first kiss, which I don't mind, but I won't rush him into things he doesn't want to do, there's always a time for anything and everything in its place.

Right now, he's talking to some of his colleagues in the military of Yaoqing as the counselor, some topics I wouldn't be too familiar with. I didn't mingle inside, nor did I interact with my sister as she kept herself busy. In hand, I had two steamed buns, one for me and the other for Jiaoqiu, specifically the spicy one- figured he'd want a treat from me after everything he did. Just thinking about it made me feel so giddy.

I walked back to the main room, the doors opened by cloud knights. I looked around trying to find a particular pink haired Foxian. I'm sure he didn't go too far, Moze wouldn't take him anywhere far without me. Finally, my eyes landed on a pink tail fur. My tail wagged uncontrollably as I skipped my way towards him, but... as I got closer I heard something. A female voice.

"You amuse me Mr. Jiaoqiu."

"By all means I'm only trying to make my colleagues comfortable with me."

My eyes widened at the two, there I saw a Foxian lady talking to Jiaoqiu. My reaction soured up, this... this felt like anarchy! I hate to admit this Foxian lady has looks, but I too have looks! Jiaoqiu just hasn't seen me... But upon seeing this, every smile, every shared glance, felt like a sharp tug at my heart. It wasn't that I didn't trust my partner, but seeing someone else get that undivided attention stirred an anxious up feeling deep inside me.

I calmly (with a hint of annoyance) walked behind Jiaoqiu. "Jiaoqiu, I got us something to snack on." I spoke softly, trying to hide my emotions.

I went beside him, and placed the steamed buns in front of his nostrils as his hands found their way to grab the food, "Thank you, how thoughtful of you my sweet."

Clearly I was seeing how this lady watched us being lovely with each other, but that's the whole point.

"I'll be taking my leave, Mr. Jiaoqiu." The lady smiled, before bowing. "I look forward to working with you soon." She said, I could've sworn she said it in a flirtatious manner, or maybe my mind is placing tricks on me.

As the lady walked away, I looked at Jiaoqiu who was munching on his steamed buns. I felt a sense of jealousy running through my chest, fuming even. I stayed silent and began eating my steamed buns, pouting every bite.

"You're oddly silent." Jiaoqiu spoke calmly, still eating his food and chewing on it slowly.

Between pride and ego, things get a little stirred up. I couldn't admit I was jealous, he might think of me wrong, much worse he might think I don't trust him. This is truly dreadful, how should I even respond?

"Are you saying you don't trust me?"

"I gave you everything and this is what I get?"

No, no, no! I have to think this through! I can't play chess without thinking about what I'm going to use as a defense!

I cleared my throat, "It's just the overwhelming crowd, especially the busy environment." I replied, making sure to sound sweet and genuine to him, although... it didn't really suit me right.

"I see... I'll make sure to bring you here from time to time so you'd be more familiar with the surroundings, as for now..." Jiaoqiu held his hand out for me, which he usually does when I guide him around.
