My thoughts were racing. All memories of the last days with him came back. His voice in my ears. His strong hands on my wrists, my neck, my... I swallowed. No, I had to forget all of that.
That was behind me now. I had broken up with him so that I could start over and not to fall into this deep hole again.
I went straight into the kitchen but I felt Darren's gaze boring into my back. For the rest of the day I watched his and the other guy's table. Apperently they didn't plan on leaving before the evening.
At half past ten my shift was finally over. As I was wiping the tables I was pleased to see that the three guys had left. They probably got bored watching me transport plates from A to B and take orders.
When I was finished I left the restaurant relieved. The door closed behind me with a quiet click. I took a deep breath of the cold evening air. This day had been far too stressful for me. As soon as i get home, I'll need a headache pill.
I walked down the street. Should I call a taxi? It was already very late and too dark for a girl to be out alone. I slowed down and looked around. No cars were coming, so I set off quickly. I didn't like this part of town. Everyone had secrets that no one was allowed to know. I was one of these people with a dirty past.
After a moment, I pulled my phone out of my pocket. After looking at it, my last hope of getting home before midnight left me. The battery was dead. Fuck...
Lost in thoughts, i only now realized that I wasn't alone. I heard footsteps. Very quiet, but they were there.
^Don't turn around, you know it's him. Just run. Run!^
My eyes widened. That voice was right. I put my phone away, wich I was still holding in my hand und slowly started to increase my pace. I listened. The footsteps behind me matched mine.
Shit, it was really him. I started to run, but the footsteps behind me followed suit. I knew he was faster than me. What should I do? It was still far too many kilometers to my house. I couldn't possibly run at thise pace the whole time. The footsteps came closer, my breathing quickened.
Suddendly I felt a cold hand grab my arm, pull me around and press me against the wall of the house I had been running next to. I looked into green wolf eyes. Two more wolves crept around me, shielding me so that I was surrounded.
A second hand grabbed my throat. The wolf in front of me grinned. "I just made you and offer. You shouldn't have turned it down, baby. You know to much. Either you come back to me and shut up, or I'm afraid I'll have to do something really bad to make sure you don't tell anyone about the things you know. I'm still nice, so accept it..."
Darren's hot breath hit me as he said these words. I started to cry as the pressure of his hand on my throat grew. "N- no... No, leave me alone!"
I didn't know if it was me who started screaming, but suddendly I felt a hard punch in the pit of my stomach. Bile rose in my throat, but I didn't stop screaming. One of the other wolves stared at me and laughed.
"Shut up, you slut!", the other wolf whispered in my ear. I could practically hear him grinning. I started shaking my head wildly, I scratched, I hit, but nothing helped. I saw one or two cars drive past, but no one paid attention to us.
No one would dare to interfrere. That is the true meaning of life. Achieve as much as you can until you live in peace and watch your opponents die. That is the only way to reach your goals.

The story is pretty awful right now but I promise that it will all make more sense in the future. Trust the process.
