Think most supernatural creatures have no real soul to speak of though none of that is true each is born with one just like humans and free will to choose which they will go on in life. Scout is now entered into womanhood and has many suitors hot on her trail though her heart beats for a local clockmaker's son Ares who made it possible to be with one another even during the darkest hours of their illness is the true curse of immortality one that they can't truly shake so they spend that time talking about what they could do to improve their community and lives with mortals on though no serious hatred has been thrown in either sides camp as of late though nothing to say the other sides out to get them despite certain issues with others who are known as outcast or rogues have not followed up on what is acceptable amongst their kinds and being able to move about without fear of someone trying to run a stake through your heart is on point with others who know not all vampires are nightmares that many think them to be though in case some have forgotten they are truly deadly predators when it comes to hunting certain kind of game that is. They do have fearsome faces when full hunger is on them some can hold off their hunger by using the substitute drinks in terms of the blood lust that is often plaguing them throughout their lives. They have managed to adjust to such substitutes in ways that they aren't breaking any law amongst their kind and the humans who've done more than their fair share of dealing with them in one way or another way in being that they have made it possible to have such things in the formula that Scout has come up with that works like a charm in many ways that don't let things get out of hand at all that is.
