Warriors-Whisper of Dawn: Stormy Redemption

Chapter 5

*Brookestream's POV*

I had just returned to camp after making sure that Hawkpaw made it safely to the StormClan border.

I was still thinking about what Rainpaw told us as I curled up in my nest.

'But that doesn't change how I feel about her.' I thought.

I then started thinking about the first time I saw her.

It was at my last Gathering as an apprentice. Rainpaw had just become an apprentice and felt very nervous about her first Gathering. Being the kind soul that I am, I walked up to her and introduced her to Waffledawn.

I would then see her from a distance when she was either swimming or training with her mentor, Waspwing.

I would also seek her out every time I went to a Gathering.

'I know that she would want to focus on being a warrior for a while, But I hope she'll chose me as he mate when she's ready for one.' I thought before I drifted off to sleep.

"What?" I said as I wondered as I looked around.

I was now in a different forest. And a nearby Twoleg den was on fire.

I then noticed a group of six Twolegs, each one wearing a different removable pelt.

One wore a green removable pelt. He had yellow fur on top of his head and green eyes that seemed to glow a bit.

One wore a black removable pelt. He had black fur on top of his head and dark brown eyes.

One wore a blue removable pelt. He had reddish-brown colored fur on top of his head and blue eyes. He even had dot-like markings of some kind on his face

One wore a white removable pelt. He had silver fur on top of his head and glowing, light blue eyes. And his skin was also silver, which surprised me.

One, the only female of the group, wore a grey removable pelt with some blue. She had long black fur on her head and brown eyes.

The last one, who was lying on the ground, wore a burned and tattered red removable pelt. He had spiky brown fur on top of his head. When I walked closer to the clearly injured Twoleg, I saw that he wasn't breathing at all. Meaning he was dead!

When I looked closer at the other five Twolegs, I saw that they all had some form of sadness on their faces.

"Oh Kai!" The female Twoleg said.

When I heard the name, I realized that I must be witnessing the aftermath of Rainpaw's death in her previous life. 'That means that female Twoleg must be her sister in her past life, Nya!' I also realized  when I noticed the resemblance between the two.

I walked closer to the recently passed on Twoleg's body.

I placed a paw on it.

"Oh Rainpaw." I said. "What happened to cause you to have a death like this in your previous life."

I then noticed a frozen Twoleg not too far from the group.

I looked up and saw the green wearing Twoleg looking towards the frozen Twoleg. "I hope the Mechanic gets the perfect punishment for what he did to Kai." He said, making me realize that the frozen Twoleg was responsible for how Rainpaw died in her past life.

I walked closer to the 'Mechanic' to get a better look at him.

I saw that he was like any other Twoleg, but there were some parts of him that looked like they came from a monster! This caused me to back away from him in complete fear.

"The Mechanic didn't always look like this." I heard a female voice say from behind me.

I turned around and saw an adult female Twoleg who bared some resemblance to one of  Rainpaw's friends in her past life. She wore a black removable pelt with some brown, as well as a symbol of  a strange animal that seemed to be made of stone.

"Who are you?" I asked her, with no hostility in my voice at all. There was something about this Twoleg that made me calm. Maybe it was because I could understand her or that she resembled one of Rainpaw's old friends, but it could have been something else.

"I am Lily. I'm the mother of Cole, one of Kai/Rainpaw's old friends." She introduced herself.

She walked to my side and kneeled down.

"Why was I showed this?" I asked her. "Jay losing his memories isn't the biggest challenge you'll have to face because him being reminded of something about someone he was close to at a time like this would bring his memories back." She explained. "As well as prove that you're telling the truth about Rainpaw being Kai's reincarnation."

"You, your friends, and the Clans will also have together with the Ninjas to defeat the Time Twins and BloodClan." She said.

"I had a feeling that was the case when Rainpaw told us about her past life." I said to her. "But what if the Clans think we're traitors?"

"Don't worry. Everything will work out. In more ways than one." Lily said before everything started to fade.

When I woke up, I saw that it was morning.

I got up and headed outside the den to see that Crowfeather was organizing the morning patrols.

"Brindlewing. You'll lead Snowpaw, Stripepelt, Brookestream, Featherpelt, and Daypaw on a hunting patrol."

As soon as Crowfeather said my name, I stood up and went to join the hunting patrol I was assigned to.

Though, thought-out the whole patrol, I couldn't get what Lily said out of my head. 'How am I supposed to tell Rainpaw this?' I wondered.
